You people probably know this, but I didn't give it a second thought.
See, I had been to the range and came back with an assortment of 45ACP, 40S&W, and 9mm. So I threw all of them in the vibratory.
Guess what? All three happen to nest, (telescope) together rather tightly. Duh! I had to use a needle nose plier to pull some of them apart, some without much resistance but a few were pretty tightly stuck!
I've tumbled different brass before and sometimes they get together and it's no big deal. But this particular combo is a perfect, the 9mm goes into the 40SW and the 40 goes into the 45 without much to spare, and I had quite a few three way nested.
Maybe this is obvious to you old hands, high volume Dillon people but it took me quite a while unjambing them and right now, I'm doing 45 all by themselves .

PS another thing. Might remember that I bought a Springfield Armory XD9 3 or 4 months ago? I have been disappointed in the handling and feel of the gun, wondered if I should just get rid of it without firing it? But I went to the range on the 4th and there was nobody there and locked up. Hey, great, I got the place to myself!
The surprising thing was the performance of the 9mm. Handled very comfortably and sights were dead nuts! I also shot some 44Mag but that XD produced the best groups of everything. Unexpected? And, I'm rethinking selling it. LB

I have never found the Springfield Xd series very attractive right off the bat and have always pushed them to the side and never really wanted one. After searching the web for some 4th of July sales I ran upon the XD mod 2 service 9mm, it’s basically the generation 2 of the Xd series. I did some reading on it and they combined everything they liked from the Xd and the xdm into the mod 2 with a new grip called “the grip zone” kinda corny in my opinion but anyhow. It came with 3 16 round mags, fiber optic front site and carrying case. For 370$ I jumped all over it and picked it up today, feels awesome and I can’t wait to put a few hundred round through it. Everything I have read says it’s a shooter and you can’t go wrong with it, only time will tell I guess.

I'm embarrassed so I won't mention how much I paid for mine and somehow, it escaped my notice that this particular model didn't have a slide safety. But, I always pay full retail being stupid and all.
Also, I somehow was not careful and there were four 9mm brass that I tumbled with the 45's. Every one of them nested inside a 45 and I'm positive they weren't that way when I dumped them in. Scary stuff!

Yes Sir. I joined in 2002 right when Fish Canyon folded. And, fish canyon had a several year waiting list to apply for membership. I understand we have a maximum number, don't quote me but I think it's around 1200? Open to the public on weekends, for a fee.
It's actually a better deal anyway, as far as I'm concerned. And, for me, it was 18 miles to Duarte and it's 18 miles to West End. The meetings are in Ontario although I never go.
I like the idea of being able to drive in there in the middle of the night if I want, sight in using my headlights and head out of town, NV here I come.

I don't really know much about the limited membership, I don't go to meetings so didn't get to vote and don't know what it involves other than use of the facilities, more or less like what I get, less voting I suppose?
I also thought about Apple Valley. A lot further and much smaller, they only have (what) half a dozen benches and never even looked at the pistol range. Wasn't much of a deliberation, WEGC has everything I need. They are going crazy with the improvements on the bays. I like the storage containers as walls and abutments. As far as I know there are 11 or 12 ranges plus the 300 and 600 yard and I think the 100 yard range has 70+ benches? Pistol range is kinda bare bones but adequate, 15, 25 and I think 100? The Cell Tower I understand works if you go stand under it? Other wise, no service.
Another thing, we own the land! The San Gabriel Gun Club, (Fish Canyon) was leased from the quarry company. When they built some houses across the wash and close to a mile away and BEHIND the facility, some assholes that knew the range was there when they bought, filed complaints about "possible stray bullets" etc. and the spineless quarry people kicked them out after somewhere like 50 years of no incidents or other problems. There is a lesson there.
The only thing that pisses me off is the secrecy. We get no rosters or membership lists, so there is very little camaraderie, near as I can tell. It's paranoia on the part of L.E. members, who fear Liberals looking them up and blowing their house up, or something? I guess those are the guys with the TOP GUN training site? I don't know how much they pay, no idea? But, you know cops, bunker mentality, no friends but other cops, etc.
Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm no cop have had many cop friends and relatives !
My grandfather was FBI worked with Elliot Ness and is the guy shot in an ambush in the movie the Untouchables ! He was working undercover and got ratted out ! my grandmother also worked for the FBI back when they were actually law enforcement and not a political tool !

Tell you what, the image of the FBI, has changed from practically Angelic, to corrupt, political and extremely BIASED. At least the people on top that actually control things. How they expected to get away it, I don't know? Well, everybody expected the cunt to win, so nobody would be aware of the extreme prejudicial attitude at the top. It was something I never expected, but once aware of it, I am so offended that it's doubtful that trust can ever be completely restored. What a fucking shame!
This asshole, Strozok was so smug at the hearings, I could have garroted him, if'n I had one, and the opportunity. You know, sort of kidding around just to get his attention and short of decapitation; but bulging eyes, lolling tongue, messing his pants, etc. It's so much more satisfying than waterboarding!
But, this withholding of evidence and records, ignoring requests for data has got to stop! The whole thing, Department of Justice and the FBI, they are not in charge, they don't have a choice but to comply with demands from congress. It's not up to them to decide some things are too harmful to be made public. Besides, it's not "public", it's congressional committees and the only worry is that Adam Schiff will expose things to his advantage, so censure the asshole, or preferably, castrate him.
The DEEP STATE is very real, the SWAMP is very deep, the LIBERALS are so out of touch with normal Americans that it's just amazing they get elected! Trump is a work in progress but we thank our lucky stars that the Hildabeast wasn't elected. If he could keep his mouth shut and quit the Twitter, he is actually doing things that need doing. For that we should be grateful.
As far as I'm concerned, the focus on abortion, as if that's the most important issue facing America, it's pathetic. It's all spin control. If a female needs this procedure, it's difficult to stop it. But, it's the abuse that is offensive. When an underage, illegal female foreigner can demand abortion, and get it, and it's a matter of the Constitution? What? They already have every "right" that citizens have, and don't have the privilege of paying taxes. Exactly what advantage is offered by citizenship? It's becoming very trendy to allow non citizens to vote, which should be considered an ABOMINATION OF THE SYSTEM.
Really, things are going to hell in a handcart. If Trump can put the skids to this Liberal progress, more power to him. All we can do is hope, it's all we got. Liberals are dishonest, don't fight fair, lie like a damned rug! Other than that, they are just ok.

The beauty of all this is how the true radical socialists of the democrat part have outed themselves, and done so out of desperation!
Just think, we're seeing public calls for the abolishment of Law Enforcement (ICE), willfull criminal conduct (sanctuary cities), and outright calls for violence against Trump supporters(anitfa/ black lives matter, etc)...

And, that is backfiring, too...
What you're seeing is the beginning of the end of the democrat party. IMHO, this years election cycle is gonna be a bloodbath for them...

I see your point, Fred. I hope you're right. It just looks like the fucking Liberals have everything their way? My contention, (forever) is that they have a serious MENTAL ILLNESS!
There is nothing about progressive, Liberals/Socialists that makes any sense to intelligent people, yet here they are, fighting and winning on issues that normal, reasonable people find repugnant!
They are going to shame themselves dishonoring Kavanaugh with their outrageous lies. Their initial line of attack is that he was a little too bold in defending the country against muslim terrorists in the immediate aftermath of 9-11, while working as an advisor to George W Bush. Puke!
