Good deal Mark, did you get it installed & trigger re-adjusted? If you're having any issues adjusting the trigger post a picture of the front and back of the trigger, to see which version you have (adjustment screws.

I decided to just keep my Rem trigger. This is a half ass budget type, build, and there isnt anything 'wrong' with it so it's staying for now.

Yeah, I yanked the old firing pin assembly out and immediatly realized what a clunker it is compared to the new one.

I love precise machine work, dont know why really, but yeah, he does awsome work. I have the bug to have a big caliber rifle built, if I do, Im going to hit him up for sure.

Okay, I don't know what's going on here? The photo is none to clear, which assembly is which and what is the motivation? Are we replacing a J lock or what?

I replaced the firing pin in my 22-243Midd with a Tubb light weight fast lock time. Meh. I don't really know if I gained anything noticeable? For $95, and I did it myself, of course.

So, what's going on?

Sorry, should have posted this in my previous 'lets talk triggers' thread.

I am replacing the J lock assembly, yes. 70 bucks...worth it just for the looks alone.

I am throwing some new parts onto an older rifle to freshen it up, so thats what this post pertained to.
Mark

edit: Photo is not to great, sorry.

Mark, looks good. I can see the J-lock firing pin on the left, the other looks much better.

I'm not a firing pin expert though, 'nor am I a (combine) expert either.. [Smile]
