We were the lucky recipients of 8 inches of snow on Friday night. Also lucky enough to have a full moon. Decided to try my luck at night since we cant use artificial light here in Mo.. On my third stand I howled once and then answered myself with another howler. About 4 min. later I started in with my PC-3. About a minute later I catch something out of the corner of my right eye. I turn my head and there is a coyote right upon me at a fast trot. I panicked and swung my rifle and he took off and I missed the running shot at about 80 yards. I just sat there and laughed at myself. I stepped off to where he spooked from and it was 13 steps. I'm in the market for some new underwear to say the least. Going to go again tonight with a friend who is going to back me up with some buckshot.

Successful hunts will come & go. Some will be remembered & some forgoten. That one, on the other hand, I suspect will be remembered for a long time. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
