"We keep the talk clean and the subject matter at hand untainted by lesser than desirable characters."

This caught my attention because I never considered most of us of us at Huntmasters to be "Tainters", with the possible exception of Dan and Vic. But then, I'm not sure if "Tainter" is a word. I know what a taint is, but I don't think it applies to us so much as the staff at PMS.
Perhaps I find it offensive because Barry seems to imply that if I have been banned from PMS I am, by default, a lesser than desirable character.
Ouch!

Well now, let me tell you what I think of the staff at PMS.

Rich, I didn't get the idea from his context that he was talking about banned people but rather about anybody who is obnoxious with his talk at the PMS group hug.

If he is taking a cheap shot at people who have been banned, I'd take it as a compliment. He comes over as dense and arrogant enough to never question his own judgment but one who means well, a perfect tool for a manipulator.

You might be generous, Ok?

I dn't give a shit what they consider untouchables.

I have received several email requests to post something about discouraging members of HM to not attend the PM hunt.

My guess is that there are damned few who would consider going, but if they do, I (certainly) don't give a shit.

I don't like to persuade anybody to do anything: A man's a man where he walks. I once knew an old Okie who said that all the time. Never did ask him, or figure out what he meant by it, but a working hypothesis could be, do your own thing without influence from anybody else.

I sure as hell ain't jumping off a cliff just because TA does it. Ya know?

Good hunting. LB

I don't know what Barry actually meant by that, won't speculate either.

Not even too sure what an undesirable character even is, really. In some circles, I'm considered such, and take it as something of a backhanded compliment.

I do know, for damn sure, that some of the guys who have been banned by PM over the years are of extremely high character though. Guys whom I respect and admire. Rich and Leonard, for instance, to name just two.

Here is some of the kind of crap that pisses me off about the Predator Masters experts. I remember the big pissing match I had with this idiot over this exact subject. Remember the hole huffer? Now he states the exact information I previously stated to him and that he argued with me and a few others about.

Is "lesser than desirable" even lower down the scale than the more common "less than desirable" person? He might be talking about me. [Frown]

3 Toes, you obviously made a positive impact on the man and learnt him a thing or three. BTW, Happy 45th, Sir.

Dave, that was very flattering from a man that I admire.

Lance ol'Buddy, I will campaign Barry to designate you a "lesser than less desirable" and that will give the rest of us something strive for. [Smile]

Thanks, Dave. Now, I should probably comport myself as though I have high charactor for a couple days.

Cal, that 2dogs really got under your skin, eh? He seems to have found a home where those of us "less than desirable" can't challenge him too much.

So, if the quetion is, Hey, is Barry talking about us? I say, let's run with it, and thank him for the thought. I was told recently that he married well; which was the only nice thing this person could think of, to say about him.

I shall sleep well again tonight, knowing I don't quite measure up to Barry's standards. Come to think of it, maybe we should send a small delegation to attend this big event? I want a clarification, retraction, or proof.

Barry, you pompous rascal! You getting paid, per word, or what?

Rich,

Mucho thanks. (like that, Loco?) Good to know somebody has my back.

Now, to a more general question...

Does his change of stance on huffing mean I can quit sticking my head in coyote holes? I've been flea dipped three times since November and I can't really say that all this huffing has done much good. Maybe I need to be calling toward or around cover where they might be. (Does the community really need an explanation as simple and obvious as that one? I mean, really! I've been writing about this for fifteen + years and made no more headway with the average Joe than that?!?)

berry is a fickle sob; occasionally, he is moved to write illucidating, erudite prose, and stumbles thru the english language, like a Marine at Mardi gras.
But.....he did invent the "stand-up stand", amazing mind he has, imagine, standing up to shoot a coyote....who'd a thunk?

aw hell, LB, I don't let anything that goes on over there get under my skin much. It's actually more comical than anything. I should just be happy that I could help teach someone something. Like Rich refered to, if I can help out a guy like ol Kirby and he retains that information to pass on as his own I'm just proud! [Big Grin]

thanks for the birthday wishes RH. I was hoping for a buffalo horn howler!

Vic, I am surprised that you arizona guys didn't figure out how to get above that tall brush long before this. Even up here in some of the tall sage country in Wyoming I'm surprised we didn't figure out how to gain just a little elevation to get where we could see over the brush. And to think that it's as simple as standing up. Who'da thunk it!

CDog, as the edumacated feller that you are, I'd have thought that you would have figured out long ago that sticking your head into holes of any kind, can in the end, require a flea bath. I read it on the internet.

3 Toes, I just read his posts at PM today and remember you calling bullshit on him a couple of years ago. The first thing I thought was he was saying what you said to him in rebuttal back then. Happy Birthday. I'm a year past you. Oh what a difference a year makes. Todd.
