Since Cain followed his pecker off stage, I can't seem to get excited about any of the remaining crowd. They all seem to be cut from the same cloth. Career politicians that got us into the mess we're in & now all of the sudden they have `The Solution`. I find them all pretty underwhelming & won't any of them answer a direct question with a direct answer.
And now, I get an email that reflects pretty poorly on the gun rights record of all of them except Ron Paul, who has about as much chance of getting the nomination as I do getting a date with Catherine Zetta Jones.
So...............Who's worthy of supporting??
And..............Really, is this the best we have to offer????

Who gives a damn any more? Seriously, the concern is not with us right wing, gun toten hard line conservatives; everyone knows we will turn out to vote 'against' the 'chosen one'. Half the population doesn't pay taxes, and half the population gets a check of some kind from uncle sam. So, how do you get a percentage of those '50 percenters' to vote against bam bam (let alone show up to vote at all). Screw the presidency....we need the house and senate filled with serious fiscal conservatives. God help us!!

As far as Christie, he was entertaining to listen to, but didn't really see were he was any more conservative than Romney. He just had tons more personality.

So.............Congress has an approval rating that's somewhere between that of crack whores & meth dealers, and, we don't have a candidate for president that we want to vote FOR, only an incumbent that we look forward to voting AGAINST.

I weep for the future of my grandchildren.

The GOP is so split among special interest groups that it will be a freakin miracle if they are willing/able to coalesce around whoever the nominee is to beat Obama. The Dems all hated Bush after his first election but then ran an idiot against him and got their ass handed to them in the next election. Repubs all hate Obama but unless they can field a credible candidate who knows how to campaign and debate and can offer some vision of a better world without Obama, we're gonna get stuck with him for 4 more. I would prefer not to see that happen, but the 'A' team appears to have decided to sit this one out, so we're stuck with the second string.

If not for his considerable baggage, Newt would be the guy that could take on Obama in debate, and I think win. The problem is: considerable baggage.

What it means to me is I overlook his picadillos and consider he is far and away a better choice than fucking Obama.

Uncommitted people may believe all the bullshit the Democrats will bring to the question and decide that a muslim foreign born is a better choice.

Or, to be blunt, we'z fucked!

Good hunting. LB

PS but the people waiting this one out. I am telling you, this guy Marco Rubio looks Presidential, to me. He should run at some time, the sooner the better.

It's gonna be Newt or Romney, most likely Romney which means the only thing that will change in this country is the color of the presidents skin. Once a lib always a lib, but at least it wont be obama.....right? What a joyous prospect.

My preference would be Newt, but when the attack ads were thrown against him he took the high road and didn't answer and plummeted in the polls. I think he's lost Big Mo now, and once you are the leader and lose Big Mo, it's hard as hell, if not impossible, to get it back.

But then the only thing for sure this election cycle is that nothing is for sure, so who knows what will happen next.

Well, in that regard; it reminds me of the superlative job John McCain did with his campaign. The fucking jerk ran for President without a plan and no real desire. He was toast from the getgo because if the fucking Democrats know anything, they know that all's fair and they play dirty and they keep their eye on the ball. Somehow, Republicans don't really know how to play down and dirty hardball politics, dammit!

I see people that I wish would make a run for it, but who in their right mind would want to put themselves thru all the BS for a very very tough job. Your living under a microscope. The media and press never let up. Nobody on the GOP lineup is even close to perfect, but they all look great compared to BO. We won't survive another 4 years of Asshole.

Ok;
We seem to be down to a Mormon Moderate & a Pudgey Conservative who's ex-wife doesn't like him plus a couple of book-ends that are fading fast.

Romney will likely be able to pull the independants vote from the middle, the hard core conservatives will likely settle for Newt.

I still don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about either one of them. [Confused]

You might get part of your wish...I am predicting a Romney/Christie ticket. I was holding out hope for a Romney/Rubio slate, but since Marco is Newt's Florida campaign mgr., I figured that was out.

Well, I voted Sunday for Newt. At least he's an experienced political streetfighter who doesn't give up or accept defeat, so I'm thinkin somebody with those characteristics would be a pretty good choice to go against an incumbent.

We'll see...

I can't help it. I'm uneasy about who we have to offer as an alternative to Obama. The choice is clear, for me. If the candidate was anybody with a pulse, I could vote for him in a heartbeat. But, the fact is we have so many COMPLETELY CLUELESS PEOPE, and the bastards vote, and they don't understand what a worthless son of a bitch we have as Commander In Chief! Therefore, it would help, immensely, if we had to offer somebody without the negatives associated with A) Gingrich, and B) Romney.

That's why I would so much like to see some other choices. I have the feeling that this is going to be like 2008, Deja vu, all over again with that idiot, McCain. Just about any other choice probably would have beaten Obama handily, but no we run an idiot like McCain who didn't have a clue how to run for President of The United States.

And, there he is, running against a professional campaigner-in-chief. WHY DOESN'T THE FRIGGIN' MEDIA GET ON THIS BASTARD FOR ALL THE PARTISAN CAMPAIGNING, WHEN HE SHOULD BE DOING HIS JOB OF RUNNING THE COUNTRY? THAT IS (LITERALLY) ALL THIS ASSHOLE KNOWS HOW TO DO!

So, I have the feeling that both Gingrich or Romney have LOSER stamped on their foreheads. I would feel a whole lot better if Christy or Rubio or even Trump were to run against fucking Obama. I put Paul in the same category as the others: LOSER. I would take Santorum in a minute, but the big stigmata with him is losing the Senate in Pennsylvania. If he can't carry that state, that's one that we need along with Ohio and Florida. So many issues are critical. It's just pathetic that it has come down to Twiddle Dum or Twiddle Dee. Or, more likely TwiddleFuckingObama. PATHETIC, the choices we have. We'z fuked!

Good hunting. LB

Christy seems to have a degree of his own style of charm, but as was pointed out to me recently, is it possible for someone to get elected in N.J. without being in the pocket of the Mob?? Kind of like anybody who comes out of the Chicago political machine.........you automatically know that they're crooked.
No........wait.........obama's from........never mind.

They picked Mitch Daniels to give the reply to the State of the Union. That would have been a good choice under any circumstances, but in the current situation I almost wonder if they were giving him face time in case a decision is made to try to draft someone at the convention. Daniels or Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio could be assembled in some pair or another to run against Obama if they try to draft someone. The Dems have been counting on it being Romney or Gingrich and it would be interesting to pick someone else at the last minute and throw them off.

Yeah, I thought Daniel's rebuttal was excellent. It is amazing that Obama says shit like he says and people vote for him anyway!

I would be very enthusiastic if they came up with a draft at the convention, like Jeb Bush, Daniels, Rubio, Christy, etc. I can't believe any of those guys wouldn't step up to the plate, in the face of probable defeat with Romney or Gingrich.

Well, it looks like Romney's gonna be our boy weather we like it or not. At least he's not McCain or Dole, and what the heck, better a Mormon than a muslim in the White House.
I have to wonder, though, if the forces of evil (democrates) will stoop low enough to suggest that we pray for Romney to become a Christian??
I'm guessing that they can easily go that low.
