I'm not begging.

The easiest thing to do is close down this dead board. You will miss me when I'm gone!

Yep. being retired I am sooo busy doing much ado about nothing. Just brewing beer and seeing doctors.
Getting old has a few drawbacks but then I am still here on Mother Earth and just enjoyed another sunrise. So I win for another day.

I am ashamed of this country. We have lost our way. Elections are corrupt, law enforcement is biased, seems the whole damn government is corrupt. Young people are brainwashed to the point they are stupid. We need a revolution to get back to reality. Leonard, I read everything written on this site, even though I don't post much.

Yes, I know about seeing doctors. Next month I have an appointment with a Podiatrist. Some months ago, Tillie was out front on a 25 foot leash and I just casually stepped over the covered cable. At the perfect moment, she lunged, stretching the leash and caught my back foot, tossing me into the air before I knew what was happening, and somehow blocked my face from smashing into the concrete driveway.

Both knees were a bloody mess and I somehow came down awkwardly with my right foot kicking at the same concrete kinda like I would if I hauled off and violently kicked a block wall. Xrays showed that I had dislocated the 2nd and 3rd Tarsal bones from the joint, or knuckle and I have a fair size bulge on the inside above where my arch would be, if I ever had one.

Well, all he can do is fuse those bones in place after filleting my whole foot from the outside and he doesn't make too encouraging predictions other than I'll get some pain relief but scar tissue could be a problem with some shoes.

The worst thing is six months in a hard cast, maybe wear shorts or sweats and depending on Uber to get around town. I've put off the decision for more than six months and he said it really doesn't matter how soon or how long I wait. But I think I'll get on the waiting list, there is a 3 month backlog on the surgeries. That Podiatry department at Kaiser, in Fontana is damned near as busy as the Epidural department.

I also had some type of evaluation for bone density and sure enough, I have brittle bones and am currently taking mega doses of Iron and calcium and VB12. Getting old very fast, seems like I just turned 80 and now, I will have another birthday in 3 months!

Good hunting. El Bee

Sage advice; "Life is like a roll of toilette paper ........ the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes."

My wife had the bones in her ankle fused (arthritis) this past Jan. Part of the healing was three months of NO weight on that foot. Zip, zero, nada !!! She could get around the house on one of those knee scooters but ANY steps or stairs were out of the question. The entire healing process was long and painful. Make for damn sure that you and the Dr. are on the same page with the ENTIRE program before you make any firm decisions.
