here we are the last day of August and as of right now, 522,319. A little more than half usual. Thanks ko ko for going hunting instead of your more normal role of keyboard commando. I need to get out but I can still hardly walk, I'm using a scooter in the stores.

I have not yet decided to book the surgery on my foot, Dr said no particular hurry, but I have minor pain with every step. What concerns me is wearing a hard cast for 6 months afterwords! Two things, presently. Showers are an ordeal, what with the preparation, and what about driving? it's my right foot, the one that steps on the gas and occasionally, the brake?

I don't think that's possible so I might be a cripple for the rest of my life? Running is out, too much pain involved, even standing on a ladder is painful, more of a dull ache, but I do it.

But, I guess there are about 4 bones involved that need to be fused, something about a knuckle dislocate, etc. etc. Anyway, it's an involved lengthly surgery, that's all I know about it. All I know is that I fell really hard and sudden, before I knew it, one minute I was walking normal and the very next, I saw the concrete about to smash my face and just barely had time to get my hands up. Sudden and totally unexpected.

Good hunting. El Bee

That isn't good LB. Is the joint dislocated or won't stay in place or both?

I have a hammer toe and every time I go to my chiropractor he bends the toes over and pops them and it settles down a little for a little while.

Would a chiropractor be able to correct it for a little while?

Just wondering out loud.

I tend to doubt it? I suppose this is related to the fact that I have very brittle bones, I take massive doses of vitamin D and calcium. A normal situation might not have cause this rather extensive damage, but even when they fracture, the healing and the knitting process is lengthly. Besides that, I'm never eager to submit to a chiropractor. This is definitely a Catch 22 situation, the driving part alone is reason enough to forget a 6 month hard cast. If I didn't live alone and had somebody to drive be around town, that's a different story, but I'm having a hard time with decisions. I'm supposed to be wearing a Cam Walker, but it doesn't impress me, at all. I know! More pain medication! lol
