This video is why I hunt predators. I told this ass hole hunter that I hunt coyotes because they eat what I want to hunt. It took me 22 years to get an Arizona Antelope tag and bag an Arizona pronghorn.

What you experienced is the problem with the entire hunting community, in a nutshell. It's a big fucking tent and we need to support meat hunters, the ones that sneer at "trophy hunting" and live varmint target shooters. Bait hunters and dog hunters and everybody has their bitch, expect support when their Ox is gored, but have some uncharitable opinions about your favorite form of recreation.
You should not have to point out the positives in predator control, or the fact that the tag drawing situation has become so frustrating for so long, and the fact that much of it is a con game anyway. So far, coyote hunting is unregulated, thankfully. But, for me a long time ago, it satisfies an urge and I don't have to count on one specific week in October for mule deer season, and how game and fish manipulate and stack the deck so that you will not succeed.
You acquaintance is stupid and misguided and I personally see no need to be polite. He's a fool and an idiot and is playing right into the hands of the anti hunters, which is DIVIDE AND CONQUER!
