Well, I have a doctor appointment later this morning and I intend to drive myself. For the first time since that little bitch tripped me and I broke my foot. It's been coming along. I put on my roomiest boot earlier and had to take it off, but I'll wear it to drive and then change to the clog-thing, I think it's called a Crock?
But, this is not about my foot, it's my knee on the other side. I may have mentioned that I really took a tumble, it was perfect that when I stepped over her cable leash, she jerked it taunt at just the right moment and snagged my back foot and literally FLIPPED me at just about the most awkward you can imagine....like she planned it.
All this time, struggling with crutches, no apology but much puzzlement which is a lot better than my attack bird who, of course tried to attack the crutches, much like he attacks everything else, like the 5 iron I keep next to the door of the aviary. It's a deterrent when he thinks he can wander all over the place. I wouldn't mind it so much but he chews on everything, a fucking Bucky Beaver, you old timers may remember him?
So, it's my knee which has a large blister just below the knee. It's puffy and what I would describe as "water on the knee" which I once had from football, years ago and the doctor used a big fucking horse needle to draw out that bloody mass. In that case, it was all that was too it, practically instant cure, so we will see what modern medicine comes up with today? And, I hate needles!

Totter on down to Tractor Supply and snag a 14 gauge needle from the vet supply area, pierce that bloody bubble and drain it yourself....take all of two minutes.

I forgot to mention the results of my appointment. This was my first driving since the accident. Not too bad, I thought stepping on the brakes might be very painful but wasn't too bad, actually.
You know what I got? Told to put the Boot back on, the huge macro/velcro 7 League Boot, and how are you supposed to drive with that shit?
Anyway, NO to the "drain by needle". They wrapped it in ace bandage, which I took off as soon as I got home. They also gave me a dozen more NORCO and said I refused surgery and most likely will have to deal with some pain indefinitely. But I have another appt in a month and can change my mind but since I live alone, that would be a lot more painful w/crutches walking around. It's amazing how much walking you do that you don't even realize! I think about every one and try to do two things when I can because I have a sort of throbbing pain depending on how much I'm on my feet. I take 2 Tylenol and a 5ml Norco usually twice a day.
So, that's it. In a month I will have to decide if I want the surgery because the Metacarpal's are pushed around and he said something about going under the 5th to get the the 2nd, and several of the bones, I forget what they were called right now, and I just reread the report an hour ago. But even with the surgery he said I will have to deal with some pain, it won't fix the problem, just do some help. Sounds like what I hear all the time about epidurals and back surgery. I know a woman that has something in the middle of her back that looks like a flattened football and it's that big, too! And she has a bladder under the skin the is refillable and she pushes it for pain relief. That has nothing to do with me. But this looks like I will be dealing with this for quite a while....Thanks, Tillie!

Memo to Victor. I have some Humera needles I've saved in a box, supposed to take to the fire station where they dispose of "sharps" but haven't.
I tried it-do it yourself drain the swamp. Apparently, the size of the needle is too small, I got nothing until I pulled it out, a small spot of blood the size of my little fingernail, no, half that.
So I guess what's why you said #14? You country folk sure have an encyclopedic stock of home spun remedies. Do you know how to boil fat to make your own soap? Oh? I forgot, Yucca root!
I can do a search for Tractor supply, but maybe PetCo has some Vet supplies? I think I have seen some dog and cat medicines and maybe they have #14 weapon grade "needles"? Do we really need to go that industrial strength #? That might hurt?
First I need to think it over, like Buddhists do, what the hell do they call it? IDK? But-meditate? That's it! So I'll be sure that I'm doing the right thing. It sounds yucky, and did I happen to mention; I HATE NEEDLES!

Been enough days now, that fluid is most likely the consistency of clabbered milk, you'd need a hole the size of a #2 pencil to drain it!
Play old fart for a few days, keep off it, alternate heat/ice and it will be absorbed in a week?
Had an abscessed tooth 30 years ago that made the side of my face look like a cartoon character. Didn't know if the top of my head, or the tooth was going to blow out. Had to use one of the wifes sewing machine needles big enough to poke a decent size hole so it could drain....it was an instant relief that can't be explained.

You know, Nancy had beautiful teeth and a million dollar smile. But one time she has an absess on A back molar and went to a guy in an emergency that wasn’t our regular dentist.
This dentist was probing, and/she couldn’t tell me about it without bauling almost incoherently, that the asshole shoved what she claimed was a pair of scessors up at the roof of her mouth. She said it was horrible painful, the jab but when he finally hit the pus pocket, it was exquisite pain relief. It was just that he did a hell of a lot of probing before he found the “sweet spot”. Meanwhile she was about ready to launch out of that chair! Sissors? Nope
