I got something in the mail from NRA asking me to join the Golden Eagle for $250 a year. Anybody acquainted with this? Why do I need it? There is a gold medal involved if I do.

Send me $250 a year and I'll send you a partial roll of Wally World Door Greeter Approved Happy Face Stickers.
On the other hand, supporting the NRA pisses off the liberals who called us 'terrorists' so go ahead and send them $$ too.

Its a way for them to continue to collect dues from life members who no longer pay annual dues . I disagree with much of what they do . There is not a better place to throw your bucks right now . I think they spend way too much money on glossy mailers that hit the round file before even being opened ! That money could be put to better use I don't need a camo duffle bag I already have several don't they know who we are ?

I'm a benefactor life member. With that and a $1.95, I can get a cup of coffee at Cracker Barrel.

My 'problem' with the NRA is that never do they send me a flyer for a local shoot or gun show that will be doing some kind of fund raiser and invite me to drop by.
Instead I get a glossy flyer that warns if I don't send my entire wallet to them Ted Kennedy will land a black helicopter on my lawn and take my guns.
They're still the only game in town, though so what are you going to do

KoKo when did you get a lawn ?

ok ok, what passes for a "lawn" in AZ. The really high dollar lawns are comprised primarily of sand with a few tasteful rocks and weeds for accent. It's an acquired taste, to be sure, with a little fire in their waterfall(s)
