I just renewed hosting with Go Daddy. Besides insulting me with references to my obsolete and unsupported software, I got the distinct impression that the not only don't they need me, they don't want me, and prove it by how much they are charging! I won't mention it and I don't want any help but it's serious money, at my bracket.
I have wondered why some message boards have folded the tent and although I can't put my finger on it, I'm pretty sure the genre is headed the way of the Dodo Bird. Must be that socialist and commie stuff where they censor everything and everybody, FaceBook and Twitter, Instagram, etc.
All these hi tech entrepreneurs have been firmly indoctrinated in Liberalism, and that's opposed to freedom of expression, among other things progressive.
So, here it is folks. Take advantage of it, no censorship and you can say anything you want. It may be one of the last public forums. Look at the other topic concerning those enlightened assholes in Kommieformya. Elect some dipshit governor and zip, no death penalty. Zip, illegal wetbacks can vote! Zip, can't sell raw fur.
What I'm saying is; you gentlemen underuse the resource. Take advantage of the opportunity while my generosity continues. I have a huge problem with SPAM membership that I haven't solved and is the reason I haven't opened the new member queue. I think, if I recall, there hasn't been more than 3 or 4 new members in at least 6 months. But, I am working on that, too.
This is a thankless job, I enjoy doing it and treat it as almost an obligation. We don't talk enough about coyote hunting, that's for sure.
So, make a little effort. Do something to stimulate activity. We can't be depending on ko ko for conversation, brilliant as he is. Just contribute now and then, and keep it going, or it can die.

It's really the same in The People's Republik. Inland is a hell of a lot more conservative than along the coast. However, when you elect enough Democrats, they see an opportunity to GERRYMANDER as much of the state as possible. The purpose is to stamp out any conservative or Republican so they can do things their way without any interference. That's how it is here, they don't need to consider any point of view besides Liberal. So much easier when they can totally silence all opposing points of view.
As I have said for quite a while, this Kalifornia attitude is creeping your way. The whole west coast, top to bottom is liberal. Nevada used to be pretty solid Republican and so was Arizona. Don't count on it. Put your finger to the wind.
This little bitch AOC is the tail wagging the whole Democrat dog. Every Democrat running for president is in favor of reparations for blacks and native Americans. And that's one of their most conservative positions.

These places like MSNBC and CNN are actually criminally liable for what they put out. It's not their job to oppose the Administration every step of the way. They should report the news not jump on the bandwagon, and talk impeach 24/7 and "collusion, collusion, collusion" all day long. We know they are Liberal and Liberalism is a mental illness but they have a legitimate function in this society and they aren't doing it.
How can we correct this situation? I don't know but it's not getting any better. There has to be a solution or we are up shit creek without a paddle!

As hard as it is to admit this, on Saturday's I listen to NPR on the radio because they have some good humor stuff. Anyway, this morning they were talking about how tech has affected the way we read. Turns out that the part of our brain that reads on a digital device like a computer, phone or tablet, is completely different than the part that we use to read printed media like books.
The media portion is more adept at reading quickly. Scanning and flying through the material, but not able to actually comprehend and absorb the information as well as when we are reading it off paper in print. This is actually true when testing individuals given the same text and info just by different means.
Why does this matter? Technology has adversely impacted how we digest information provided to us. Speaking for myself, I would much rather sit with a Zane Grey novel - I have an entire 20 volume set from the 1940's - and all but immerse myself in that story line to the point that I don't even really notice what's going on around me, than read the same book off my phone or kindle. I've been doing a lot of research on my laptop recently on a couple projects and just prefer to print off the sources I have online so I can read them off paper. It hit me today that my comprehension and retention is better off paper rather than from digital. This is likely why.
Very few people read off paper anymore. We get inundated with digital data and that part of our brain, when drawn upon, automatically shifts into high gear and scans and surfs over the text not really absorbing anything except that which the media wants us to see. The part of our brains that absorbs and retains, and makes us good critical thinkers is growing soft and hard to draw upon when we need it. Technology and digital data have dumbed us all down so far that we don't even see what the elites are doing under our very noses.
I know that when I first came here, it was a go-to destination at least once a day. At the same time, I called people less often, or met with them face to face, and quickly became reliant upon the convenience of email. When tweeting and texting came along, email became a cumbersome dinosaur, so we all started texting one another. I check my email maybe once a day, at best, unless I'm expecting something. I used to check it every 30 minutes, if not more often.
I guess the point of this is that we are all falling victim to technology as it makes our lives faster and more convenient, but in doing so, pulls us further and further from one another. This ol' school board is like a party line anymore. Not many of the internet experts could dream of holding their own in this venue where you have to be prepared to defend every syllable of every word. Your points will be challenged and your words will be parsed and how long you survive is determined only by your willingness to stay in the fight.
I was looking through old photo support last night and found a half-dozen pics that Ronnie Robison sent me for the "Booger Red" story. Been gone almost six years now. Got me to thinking how long I've "known" some of you bastards.

With the weather we have had this winter we have to spend a lot of time cabin bound. I cant read like I used to as my eyes suck I have never been a TV guy but have become one of sorts I will not watch CNN or MSNBC it makes me angry I don't even like Fox news any more bunch a cunts. Most media makes me think about building bombs LOL just kidding ! I cant handle the media anymore I'm sure they will come up with a disease for my condition soon . When I do watch TV I like programs like THE FIRST 48 where detective's keep rooting through the bullshit and find the bad guy .Oh and old westerns ! For what it's worth, Huntmasters "migration" is complete without incident. I guess that's a good thing because it could have resulted in an interruption of service. Unable to post "important" messages and pithy responses. So we dodged the bullet. Whew!
