Paul, is your trail cam saving to an SD card, or did you plug the cam direct into your computer?

Are you having trouble locating the image file?

Don't worry! Fred's on it, he's the man! We will soon see this amazing animal practically in Paul's back yard.

Paul, just do what he says!

Fred it has an sd card or I can plug it in directly in the my lap top. I need to get a photo hosting site I guess used to use Photo bucket and drop box don't have that on this computer just on phone and Ipad. I am an analog guy stuck in a digital world. Computers are great until they don't work ! I am unable to find IMG file !

Ok.
If your computer has an SD card slot, use that. Or, plug the trail-cam in direct. Either way, your computer should recognize a new 'removable storage device'.

It might ask if you want to "view files", if so, click YES. Doing so should take you right to the pathway where the picture files is located...

If that doesn't work, go to "My Computer" tab.

Look for the new 'removable storage device', which should now be present..

Double click on it, and your computer should select a pre-installed program to view pictures with.

Now that you've found them, go to IMGUR website and open an account. Then, use the file path you found above to locate and upload pics to IMGUR. From there, its a quick copy/paste onto this screen, and you'll be good to go!!!

edit: I could embed the photo here, but the file size would blow the screen out too wide

Where in Colorado. Fred?

Leonard, we'll be in south central, CO in October...

TR, no way man...not giving up on archery! Calling my bull in on public ground was a highlight of my life!!! Sadly, I haven't been able to get back out, since then. The guys went last year & got close to some, but didn't seal the deal...

Over the winter, we collectively decided to 'cash in' our PPs together for chance at a 1st rifle season hunt. After sticking one with the bow, I don't mind trying to blast one with the rifle [Smile] Heck, maybe they'll even still be bugling a bit in mid October?

Have you been out at all, yet?

Posted by TRnCO (Member # 690) on September 01, 2017, 11:40 AM:

my guess is you guys will hear bugling, at least on the first day, maybe a little on the second, depending on how many get shot at on the first day.
I'm holding out until the last week of archery. Hoping for cooler weather by then. Very few guys reporting any vocals yet, which doesn't surprise me.
My bet is you guys will fill out with the rifles. Don't disappoint me. [Wink]

Good luck on your hunt Fred.

Or, Foxpro strikes again!

Ever hear a faint dying rabbit while walking to a stand? Nope, me neither.

Good hunting. El Bee

Hey Paul, in relation to where your Quonset is; is that camera facing north towards the Grand Canyon, with the National forest on the right?

Good hunting. El Bee

Thanks for the vote of confidence, guys! We'll have a couple days to acclimate & scout, so hope we're all waiting for shootin' light on Opening morning to blast our respective bulls down!!!

Got up to farm & checked my cams. Always love to see a burly coyote on one... [Smile]
 -

And, post elk hunt, I'll have these two jokers to get after! (pics zoomed in)
 -

This one a is a real honker for our area!
 -

These trail cams sure do offer an eye opener to what's around. Wish I'd started using them a long time ago!
