I haven't turned on a TV in a couple days so I just found out about the 9 victims of the flash flood.

It's easy to get complacent about these flash flood conditions and to recognize the danger. For my money. Arizona is one of the worst places for these things. I remember an especially bad flood one time over by the Bill Williams river, near Yucca mountain. I don't know how we got out of there? Tire chains saved the day. I remember seeing coyotes getting the hell out of there , every man for himself, just like us.

There was a severe flood on the Nevada side, I think by Holiday Shores. This was a long time ago, I heard somewhere like 50 people were never found. But camping in a low spot is not too smart. Some people don't have the instincts. Unfortunate.

Good hunting. El Bee

Rivers streams and dry wash beds are no place to play during the monsoon season if you see a cloud build up get out now . I remember several years ago when twelve German tourists being guided through Antelope Canyon at lake Powell were told to climb out due to a storm 50 miles north of them. Some heeded the warning twelve did not they perished. Some people just don't understand the power of mother nature or are clueless as to what's going on around them.
