When we were at war with N Korea the captured US Soldiers that signed their confessions and became turncoats were called Progressives by the N. Koreans.
In the 1900's Communists didn't like being called Communists so they called themselves Progressives. Now Progressive is an accepted term and a lot of Democrats call themselves Progressives including Hillary.
Liberals don't believe in our constitution. Have you noticed the number of them that call us a Democracy? They know we don't live in a Democracy but a Republic, a nation of laws where the rule of law is bigger than the individual. The constitution places limits on government and protects the citizens from government but liberals don't want that.
Progressives have saddled us with the Federal Reserve and a tax on our personal income. Both have been ruled to be unconstitutional by the SCOTUS 5 separate times the last time being in 1935 yet both things are still in existence. Democrats make the income tax a way to buy votes from a certain class of people and the Federal Reserve allows the government to overspend by borrowing money they know they have no way of ever paying back.
I have a lot more to say but I fear I'm preaching to the choir.

Morons maybe but for the last 50 years they have managed to infiltrate and take control most if not all areas the media, pop culture, academia. You are starting to see the results with the current crop of collage educated snow flakes and others with Trump derangement syndrome as our generation dies off the overwhelming majority of our future leaders will be week, ripe for either the commies or islamic facist to move on in and rule. Trumps victory last November even if he serves two terms (and I hope he does) is just our last gasp. I hate to be pessimistic but I really don't see a way to reverse things for the long term I pray I'm wrong, Rick

Another advantage with liberalism is that they pray on human nature. It's easy to have a entitlement mentality, it's easy to go through life thinking the world owes you a living sitting in mom and dads basement on social media day and night with your degree in dyke methods scheming on how to get out of paying off your student loans just waiting for Bernie to announce that he's running again in 2020.
Conservatism is hard, doing the right thing is hard. Getting up at 4:00 AM every fucking morning is hard. Living in this communist state of CA is becoming unbearable six more years I retire and we're the fuck out of here. maybe we'll move to Long Island NY where I can hang with Fred or better yet, the Salt Lake area D A and I are old buds why the hell not. Leonard I don't understand why your still here, your retired there's nothing holding you back, you could sell your place in Fontana there for big bucks and head for parts unknown. Rick

But, I don't, and don't own ANY property any more, except in Upland, because I got out when the getting was bad, with only the shirt on my back.
I am an idiot for not leaving this fucked up state ten years ago! Can you believe it, retired over 12 years ago and still here! It costs me $150 bucks every year to file and whittle my deductions to zero tax, which aint easy.
I'm taking baby steps, working towards a goal unless I die first, which is looking more and more likely.
