It is really amazing to look at all of the articles claiming what Trump and Cruz have done to the Republican Party...what they don't realize, it is asshats like Kasich, Boehner, McConnell, McCain, etc., that have made it possible for guys like Trump and Cruz to resonate with voters.
The establishment types will never understand what is going on outside of the confines of D.C.

I don't know what I'd do on the 12 million illegals. Amnesty or legalization sounds pretty bad. But rounding them up and deporting them is just fantasy, it simply isn't possible and isn't ever going to happen.
So, don't do anything?
Seriously, I don't know what, that is actually possible, to do? Smart money is on don't do anything, I think.
I'm not upset about anyone taking a realistic approach to the discussion though. But every time I hear the round 'em up and ship 'em out stuff, my bullshit shield goes up and I stop listening and move on to something else... That just isn't, ever, going, to, happen.
In a very related issue... If the republicans can't get the mexicans to vote for them, they'll probably lose in November, too. And right now, the mexicans hate Trump almost as much as he hates them.
We're just fucked. I think...

We can go to the moon but we can't deport illegals? Hell, I don't know what's possible but I'm really sick of laying out the welcome wagon, subsidized rent, food stamps, free medical and stuff I can't begin to imagine, but (for sure) stuff I can't get. And, my taxes are paying for it.
If it's impossible to send them back, can we at least stop giving them driver's licenses and letting them vote? I'm telling you, Liberals have really fucked up this country....but they think people like me is the problem.

Look, I'm just one guy and it's just my opinion. But, yeah, I think it's literally impossible to send them back.
Identify, track down, detain, encamp, shelter, clothe and feed while the trains, planes and buses roll in empty and roll out full, for what? Years?
Spend billions if not a trillion in the process.
So that democrats lose part of their base and republicans lose their cheap labor. Let's be honest, both sides want them to stay, for their own reasons and both sides talk out both sides of their mouths about it. Just more of the usual bullshit.
In this country? I really don't think so.
There is no political will for it.
But, beyond that and more to my point, the logistics are mind boggling. I, personally, just don't see how it could possibly be accomplished. On the ground, for real. Even IF both parties could agree to do it (which will never, ever, ever, never, ever, never happen - because neither party actually wants it to happen...).
I guess what I'm saying, is that if that is the answer, then I'm going with there actually is no answer. Like asking a kid how he's going to pay for the $50K accidental damage he just caused. Doesn't matter what he says, believes or actually does, he ain't coming up with the fifty grand... And this country ain't rounding up and shipping out 12 million people.
But that's just my view.

Ive been a broken record on this matter for years; make it absolutely illegal to hire ANY employee who is not a US citizen. Make the fine 10 grand a pop to the employer, whether it's Tyson chicken, or someone hiring an illegal to mow the lawn.
I believe in a few short years, illegals would self deport, why in the hell would they wish to remain here if there was not work or no welfare to ride on?

Dave, I read some history about Eisenhower deporting a couple million Mexicans back in 195?. I realize twelve is more than two, but (again) if we can go to the friggin' moon, why can't we deport 12 million illegal people? Even if it takes years? You know that old saying about a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step? Exactly WHY is it so impossible, in your mind? No collective will, something like that? I'm not buying the part about empty trains, logistics, etc. Would it hurt to try? If it doesn't work, at least we only wasted a couple billion $. That's chump change compared to what it costs us to feed and house them and confine them in prison. The ones that work are entrenched in the underground (cash) economy, doesn't help us legitimately. And, they all send about 40% of what they earn back to Mexico, which is that country's largest source of income. Maybe that's what Trump is getting at when he says he will get Mexico to pay for the wall?

I agree with Dave. It would be impossible to round them all up and send em back. But like Vic said if you completely shut down the gravy train you could fix it and pretty quickly.
