Leonard, you nailed it. I can usually tell in a minutes worth of listening to some of the current politicians babble, that they have never in their life got their ass whipped, nor ever given one.
Probably sounds like a cretin comment to our current social engineers, but it is an important part, or should be, of a young mans life, and how he uses those experiences as an adult. They have neither personal defeat, nor victory, to draw on for decision making.
