I had some unexpected time off, so I decided to take my dog, head out to NM for a few days and scout & hunt a little. Hunted mostly BLM, and a couple ranches that gave me permission.

On the long drive home, Just about 10 miles south of MO, on the Will Rogers turnpike about 10 pm, I came over a hill and hit, ran over an upsidedown truck camper top in my lane, amongst other debris. Saw a head pop up right before I hit it. I had no where to go but straight through. It happened so fast.

With My vehicle bouncing and two flat tires I somehow safely made it to the shoulder. I ran back to the mess, I had to see what I hit, what popped it's head up. Luckily it was a dog! Again thank God there weren't any children riding in the back of the truck in that camper.

What I was told by the state troopers, was, a truck going west lost it's trailer and didn't realize it for several miles. Yea, I dunno about that either. A brand new pickup also going west hit the trailor and the center median, then his camper top and other stuff came over the median into the east bound lanes. Right in front of me and some other vehicles. Somehow (thank God) no person was hurt.

Had to get towed, but was real glad things were not worse. Got the troopers accident report #, called the insurance company, now I have to get damages appraised and fixed.

Glad your ok.. Driving is actually one of the most dangerous things we do..

Shooting guns are not one of them..

That just goes to show how fast your day can go from fine to fuked.
