The whole subject is a sort of puzzlement. Why sell it, in the first place? Divorce settlement, gas money, what? Second, can't understand why he quit making them? They show a lot of meticulous craftsmanship, the execution is flawless, near as I can tell? At some point, selective people are going to want one. I don't believe I'd be tempted to sell mine. I appreciate the effort he put into it, and have told him, too.

I've got a real soft spot in my hear for Downs kids. In no small part because the doctors thought my Daughter was going to be one (they were wrong). Got to spend some time with a few of those kids, preparing for my Daughter.

Comparing Krusty to them is just plain mean spirited.

Actually DAA, I've got a niece that is severely retarded, and have a group home for young adults who suffer from disorders like Downs, (although they all seem so happy in life that I doubt "suffer" is the right word in this case) on my mail route. I was personally concerned about this comparison simply because it represents a disservice to those who cannot help how they were born or act,... if you know what I mean. [Wink]

This subject is rubbing a few people the wrong way and it's time to cut off the BS.

I will say that the point is not Downs Syndrome, or retarded children, it's about Krusty and his never ending problems. I think the razzing is strictly at Krusty's attitude, nobody understands how hard it is, for him, etc.
