For all you whippersnappers out there. You know the first Superbowl was held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. There was a pay per view but I don't think it was very successful and pretty much the only ones that saw it were in the stadium. Hard to believe it has become such a BFD.

The half time "show" is bizarre, (I assume) they have been boring and unwatchable. Mostly ghetto music, and the bumps and grinds (are) hardly suitable for a general audience.

Yes, I know all of you macho types have better things to do. For many years, I would watch a bit of the game from some Casino in Nevada because that weekend we almost always went hunting coyotes, possibly the last opportunity for big kills before denning.

Hmm? Eagles is/are taking charge early?

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: ko ko weighs in with his annual comment about not having any interest in the game and for several years in a row, does not know who is playing.

Ok ................ Just to be objective, I turned on the Super Duper Bowl.
Must have been the Half Time show. There was a black broad prancing around screeching. I couldn't understand a word of it but it was possibly "I'll never be mistaken for Connie Francis" set to some 'electro-beat'. Backing her up were about a hundred blacks wearing what looked like repurposed KKK robes doing a painfully long break dance routine.
Thus endeth my Super Duper experience.

[Eek!]

That half time was so spectacular, I'm just in awe! Like ko ko, who also was completely blown away!

Folks, you don't see entertainment like that any more, (thank God)

As ko ko said, the "song" was completely unintelligible, and I completely did not get the joke of that pink bathrobe, either? Once there was some cute Telly babies a long time ago so maybe it was a flashback? IDK? If she only made a million dollars for that performance, she was robbed! And, you gotta wonder how much work went into that mess/ I mean production?

But, NOT being a member of some ethnic minority, the whole thing was way over my head? As designed. It's too bad, but it was geared to a certain segment and more power to "them" and those .... folks.

Just kidding; I totally LOVED IT!

Well, in spite of all the stupid hype, it actually was a good football game. Some great breakaways, long yardage plays, not just 3 yards and a cloud of dust control football. I enjoyed the game and the ending had everything you ever wanted in a close contest. Kansas City played the same game as they did the last time that they won!

Good hunting. El Bee 🐝

Don't watch pro so called sports.

Watched Clarktson Farm2 last night.
To funny watching a guy with too much money go into farming in England.

But their badgers can not be touch at all and they carry TB and they have to test their cattle every 6 months. Also the deer over there carry it too.
Heavy fines and jail time if you kill a badger for any reason other than it getting hit by a vehicle.

One dairy farm has had to kill 60 cows due to TB and they've lost half their dairy herd.

Yes too many stupid rules/laws and BS.

Green acres was a great series! Just fun, I loved it! May have been low brow, but the humor tickled my funny bone.

One of my old hunting partners, Ronnie Farkas had a relative that was an actor on that show, but I don't recall who it was right now? I think it was the government inspector who never had a straight answer.

Anyway, If it was in reruns, I'd watch it.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: run that by me again? What was the reason for protecting badgers in England? Badgers are an elusive prey. In western states, I would guess they average 12-14 pounds? I once killed a badger up in northern Nevada that went 25 pounds; I should have had him mounted, a rug or something?

One thing I noticed about badgers. Not really particularly difficult to kill but something I will swear is true: I never saw a bullet exit a badger! The flesh must be very firm or something? Of course, I never shot one with a FMJ, always a spitzer or HP.

One thing I can comment on, amongst others occasionally, is the comments about professional sports. I happen to agree wholeheartedly.

I first got turned off to this LOYALTY bullshit when my favorite team, the Rams went to Anaheim and then to St Louis, and the Baltimore Colts moving to somewhere in Indiana and The Milwalkee Braves moving to Atlanta.

Now, all these fans are supposed to give a shit about "their team" winning anything. Loyalty, bleeding Dodger blue, stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure the first turn off for me was fucking basketball and my team, the Lakers, originally from Minneapolis and that's the origin of the team name....you know, 10,000 lakes?

Anyway, totally and irretrievably turned off to basketball and their 4 steps to the basket for a "dunk". What the hell is that and who cares if a black giant can stuff a basketball with their advantage. It' not any different than horse racing and a midget jockey riding them.

So, the dominos continue to fall mainly because of the greed of owners and players. Anybody know how much it costs for decent seats for a Lakers game? It's not priced like going to the movies, that's for sure. So, it's corporate America that pays for World Series and SuperBowl games. The average asshole can't get in and what for anyway? TV has better coverage.

So, exactly who is responsible for this bastardization of sports and you have to include the Olympics, as well. Sure, let professionals play in skiing and tennis. It's completely and totally fucked up.

The only ones who don't get it is the ghetto rats that wear their favorite team logos and wear $100 tennis shoes. Most of you guys have wised up and refuse to be a sucker and care about these billion dollar teams and millionaire players. I get it, you get it but the inner city kids do not get it. They believe this shit. They are suckers.

And where does it stop? One thing that really causes me to grind my teeth is the campaigns against team names like Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Indians. Now they have faggy names like the Miami "Dreamers" or some such crap/I just made up that name. But the actual unoffensive names they come up with are gag me with a spoon offensive.

Why does anybody care about the fucking superbowl? Are the super clever 30 second commercials the most talked about thing, Monday at work? A witty corporate commercial? Yeah, I really give a shit!

So there we are and all you in the Peanut Gallery are right to proclaim your disinterest in pro sports. Really, I thought that was understood quite some time ago? I'm on your side. It's all total bullshit.

Good hunting. El Bee

I've never watched a Super bowl or World series or NBA championship, not because of hype, corporate greed,or any other reason than I'm simply not interested in sports. No matter it be professional, collegiate or high school,I just have no interest.
I did play 3 of little league, 1 year of senior league and 1 year high school baseball. After that time frame,I've not watched one minute of baseball, seems odd,for I loved playing ball?
I will admit,I am fascinated by golf, love to watch it,and am amazed by the skill involved,I parallel it to shooting at a high level. Never played a round of golf in my life though.

As far as golf goes... Just wish the cup was twice as big and 5 of them scattered across every green.
Thank God for the drink lady in a golf cart. Every sport should have them.

Well who won the dam game????

As for badgers they have a pretty thick hide can absorb a lot when being shot. Just about every animal in England is protected, cept pig and Redfox.

Well, actually, as far as I am concerned, baseball is the last honest sport. and the National league finally gave in to people that don't like baseball anyway, no matter how many concessions they come up with to make them like it like putting a man on base instead of 4 pitches, off the plate.

All those rules about how a manager can't walk out and talk to his pitcher, or yank him out of the game.

No question, the stupidest change is a fucking "designated hitter" Dammit, Babe Ruth was a fucking PITCHER! That's the best strategy in baseball, let the pitcher hit for himself or pull him for a pintch hitter! They have emasculated the friggin' game!

Keep it up and pretty soon soccer will be the most macho sport. Fucking gag me!

End of rant!

All I can say is that Mahones does not look like a quarterback from Central Casting, like maybe Brady? In fact, he's the most non conventional quarterback any of us will ever see. How he get's it done, I haven't a clue? But, he get's it done!
