A poem by Kokopelli;

Damn, it's colder than a Mother-in-law's kiss.
The end.

24* this morning. I know that's t-shirt weather for people in the 'Land of the 6 oz. Soft Drink' (Mini-Soda) but I didn't move to Az. to be cold.
And what's with this 90% humidity ??? Humidity is water vapor in the air. Below 32* it should freeze & fall to the ground as frost......... Ergo, 0% humidity.
It ain't right, I tell ya !!!
This is something AlGore & Gretta Grungberg probably cooked up during their pillow talk.

Mini-Soda
[Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] I crack myself up sometimes.

And lo, the Light of the Trump shown upon the Darkness and the Darkness could not comprehend it.

There was a man from Balonia who should be carefull of what he says about Mini-soda or we going to stone ya and make you into a Balonia sandwich for coyotes to eat.

The Weather Wonks are forecasting 20* tonight.
[Eek!] [Eek!] [Eek!]
I don't know how you people 'up there' live like that.
[Confused] [Confused] [Confused]

On the other hand I saw on my home page that a herd of Super Swine were moving south out of Canada into North Dakota and the researchers were amazed.
Duh ........ European hogs live in the Black Forrest in Germany so what's the surprise ????

Not a surprise. Thing is we don't want or need wild pigs running all over they pretty tuff on the land and what's there for other critters to eat.

Temp. is 20 right now with a 3 mph wind and wind out of S-W, you can bet your ass I'll be out in it tonight.

You have a good time out there. I'll be right here in front of the wood stove with a glass of Chaucer's Mead reading an excellent book on 'Jeramiah Johnson'.

Don't underestimate a feral pig as a worthy big game animal. I wish we had a few here in Az.

Guess they could be fun to shoot but I'm not into that sort of thing. called coyotes around P.D. towns out west and stopped to shoot a few of them one day to see what I was missing. Nothing really, it was like shooting metal targets at home without the blood IMO.. And then there is if I did hunt them the butcher cost of it which has gone sky high and why I don't hunt deer anymore. Calling them might be a better choice you should get out there and get pig estrus invented before someone else does and perhaps come up with a few more calling sounds. You be a millionaire before you know it and make tons of money off the unknowing. [Smile]

To each their own. I've only hunted them spot & stalk with pointed sticks. Have killed 4 ..... 2 of them made the Calif. record book. The pucker factor can get rather high at 30 yards.
I do my own butchering and get some fine meat for the table.

Yep you right. I'd cut up the meat and debone it but when it came to deer, I like it made into soft jerky or spice sticks and sausage. That would cost right around 300 and I don't have the time to do that myself let alone get into it.
Yes, it would be a pucker factor with one of your mean little pigs, thing is the Canadian pigs look like God zilla compared to yours and if they are the Russian cross worse yet. And those big hogs they shoot in Texas look like the ones we raise on the farm. Local guy had what we call wild game farm he raises fallow deer and the Russian strain of hogs, and you don't get in a pen with them either. We have a town near by the fire department puts on a wild game and smelt feed every year, much cheaper to just go there and eat. LOL

Awwwwww poor Koko,
Inch of fresh white stuff over night and still coming down. Only good thing is so far we haven't had feet of stuff in one storm.
-3 yesterday morning with a high of 24. Just been a different winter all the way around.

But sure starting to get spring fever. Going on 3 months of snow on the ground and can't get anywhere without some kind of tracks either on UTV's or snow machines. Doesn't help when you blow up the secondary clutch on your UTV.

Yep been one of those winters. Wolves aren't playing the game either. No one is catching anything where as last season they were lining up and getting caught. Don't kid yourself that coyotes are smarter.

Hey .......... We got snow. Plenty of it. We just like to keep it up on the mountain where snow belongs.

Tim, I wasn't talking about Javelina. Neat critters when they come to a call.
I ones that I got in Calif. & was referring to were feral pigs with a good dose of Russian in them. The biggest took four of us to lift it up into the bed of the truck after it was gutted.

Fun times !!!!

Spring fever? Winter starts in Dec. officially so roughly winter has only been here about a month.

Koko imagen standing in 23 inches of snow in your Bermuda shorts with a negative 4 breeze blowing. aaah nothing like it in the world. [Razz]

Oh thats right about the bigger pigs I forgot there was a few that migrated south. Dont they call then snow pigs or something.
We have a gal from Texas that moved up here and a friend of the family from California so it can't be all that bad.

There's nothing like peeing on an electric fence either but I'm going to do that anytime soon.

We're actually getting snow at the moment. Not sticking on the ground but still pretty to look at.

This will make for a good memory this summer when it's 110*

Well, we have a 'Winter Wonderland'.

This will make the front page of the local paper.

TA17Rwm, I know when official winter starts but here it started November 1. It's been below normal temps since then and have had 6" of snow on the ground since then. Haven't seen the sun much this winter either.

Yep that's winter, don't you just love it. I'll take snow on the ground over frozen dirt any day.

Major snow storm coming in tonight and running through the weekend.
That doesn't bother too much it's the temps. Wx peeps saying -19 for one night, 2 for a high on Monday and so forth.
This trend is to last all of February now. At first they said it would break around the 5th. Would have been nice.

Up here we have one week of mud then it dries and we have 6 months of dust.
