Topic: What the fuck is SOCCER about?

I really try. I have a game on right now, United States vs Wales, which is apparently part of England, it's like a state, like New Jersey.
This contest stands right now at 1-0 in favor of the US. It's almost as exciting as watching grass grow; back and forth, back and forth and for some unfathomable reason, they can only move the ball with their head and their feet but not their hands? Hello! Pick up the damned ball and throw it in the net!
Whatever, they don't get it and here's an interesting quirk. They continually fake injuries, for which the other guy is given a yellow card, the purpose of which I haven't been able to find out? But I think they also have red cards which appear to be more important.
I'll have the "game" on until it's over. Oh yeah, that reminds me of something else. You never actually know when it's over? For some reason, they extend the "game" for what appears to be arbitrary additional minutes, on and on until they have free throws, not throws, but kicks at the net while a goalie tries to block it and this is the whole friggin' game, after all that running up and down and back and forth. It comes down to kicking the ball into a net that looks like it's at least 15 foot wide. Anyway, the actors fake these injuries and the opponent always has an exaggerated bewildered look and engages with the referee, as if they can be talked out of the infraction; fat chance!
If anybody can clue me in to what is going on so as to help me understand this very monotonous game, please, I'm all ears!

PS the fans are sometimes called Hooligans. They get so excited that they occasionally riot and trample spectators, but it's all in good fun.
edit: another thing. The goalie doesn't wear the same uniform the purpose of which is just to further confuse Americans. Shrug!
edit: another little cute thing is that some of the blonde boys like to wear a man bun, other darker races bleach their hair. IDK/ Seems a little Gay, to me?

Long long ago in a far away land I worked with a guy from Lebanon. This was before soccer was the new thing in schools but being from Lebanon he was a huge fan. I used to razz him about a bunch of homo boys running around in their underwear like Keystone Cops too stupid (or afraid) to bend over and pick the ball up.
And what kind of competition other than chess can end in a tie ?? It just ain't right.

Yes, and what the hell is the point of this stupidity? There is not another country in the world that allows anybody to just sneak in and now, presto! Chuck Schumer is talking about their path to citizenship!
This is playing with fire! Obama brought it thousands of Somalians to Minnesota and now we have that tasty little turban wearing chick mouthing off and writing our laws!
It's just fucking crazy to be allowing all these undocumented and unwashed into the country. IT'S FUCKING CRAZY!
There is a goddamned LIMIT to this Humanitarian bullshit. We cannot support the whole world's illiterate masses! It doesn't seem to matter that they are unskilled and have not a pot to piss in! No problem, Uncle Sam has free money! Not a dime for our natural born, but the US can set these people up with housing and no job but they can give them free money so that they have no incentive to ever get a job. Right now in that section of Minneapolis, for sure, you will not get ELECTED unless you are a muslim and they all vote for Sherea law.

Well, I am okay with playing underhanded and dirty, just like the Democrats. But they will cry FOUL! Even taking away "Bug-eyes" seat on the intelligence committee. Democrats just do not get it when rules are applied to them, suddenly it seems UNFAIR.
And just wait if they start to impeach Biden. That will be condemned in the strongest terms. You can't compare impeaching Trump TWICE with a threat to impeach Biden.
That's it. Demorats play dirty 24/7/365 and on the rare occasion that Republicans mount a timid payback; crybaby Dems scream bloody murder!

As long as the Democrat's pander to the lowest common denominator by giving away what the take from the rich they will continue to buy voters.
Here's a thought; Let's call ILLEAGAL ALIENS "Dreamers" and give them a 'path to citizenship" and sign them up to vote Democrat.
