My 23 year old Honda EU 6500 generator finally took the big dump last night I have a back up we bought at home depot after starting it and hearing it we lovingly named it death race 4000 ! I will use it till I cam afford another quiet one you did not even know the Honda was on ! Tears!

We have a Honda generator with over 10,000 hours on it. Did have to have the engine worked on. Have a smaller EU now too. They are so quiet and nice. The old one is just under the 240 watt and is a boat anchor to lift.
Honda is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned.

Hey Paul;
Just for yucks & giggles, put the old one on a curb somewhere with a 'For Sale / Se Vende' sign and the local police station's phone number.
When someone steals it and it doesn't work, maybe... just maybe they'll call the number to complain.

On my curb I see maybe six cars a month could take a while ! You are correct EW they are the shit but the replacement for mine is about 6000 just cant do it so i will get to hear the death race 4000 !

Our's is 39 years old.
Haven't ran it in a long time. Got tired of lifting in and out of the trailer while gone during the daylight hours.
Of course we hauled it to the new place.
We really really need to start cleaning and keeping this and getting rid of that.

I have an application on my solar that turns it on and off automatously ! not so with the death race 4000
i have to go pull a rope !
