The stupid schmuck doesn't understand than the reason for these purchases is for self protection! This is not right! Mayors are so stupid that they don't know about cooling off periods, or waiting periods, while waiting on a background check. Mayors don't understand that the people have a fear of anarchy and civil unrest and have an urgent need to own some means of protection, while the police are protecting PROPERTY, down town. Mayors don't seem to realize that criminals buy their guns on the street, without any stupid paperwork, and they are buying stolen guns. Where I might pay $900 for a handgun, some guy on the street is selling the same thing for a buck and a half! So, what chump pays $900 when he can get it with no waiting and no background check and get it for ten cents on the dollar....ok, fifteen cents. Anyway, by what logic is that asshole mayor ordering gun stores closed so that an honest citizen cannot purchase the means of self defense? This is criminally stupid! And, only an inner city black mayor is stupid enough to issue orders like this and most probably illegally. Months later they rescind the order. Moral: BE PREPARED! Good hunting.
