If your family leaves beer & pickled eggs instead of milk & cookies for Santa, there ain't much doubt you're a Redneck.

Merry Xmas eve. [Smile]

And long live Rednecks, the only thing holding Western Civilization together against the Forces of Evil.

Welp, I'm concerned! I opened the frig this morning and noticed a bunch of white wine being chilled, and no pickled eggs! Personally, if I drank wine, it would be red; something that goes with a rare steak. And, that's as far as I go in my wine knowledge. Other than, they "say" that white wine pairs well with fish and/or fowl.

Also, if I buy beer, I have been in the habit of buying Mexican, like Pacifico or Dos Equis, hardly any domestic any more.

Good hunting. El Bee

My wine snob daughter doesn't care for it, but Chaucer's Mead goes with about anything. [Smile] [Smile]

And that brought up an interesting, and enlightening discussion. My daughter just admitted to belonging to 12 "Wine Clubs". and she drinks Sauvignon Blanc because Chardonnay is, "too oakie and buttery. Mentioned Pino Gregorio, also likes it. I've had that one, and if I had to drink white wine, that would be it.

And I told her that when stationed in the Rhineland, we drank the local Park Brau bier for the first two weeks. Then we would buy "Rhine Wine" (ein Mark/bottle) until the next payday. So, that was pretty much the extent of my wine drinking days. Probably makes me a wine snob, too?

edit: in other words, wine is for when you are too broke to afford decent beer. $900 a bottle is insane! That's all we need is either a commie socialist grandpa, a fake native American or a guy that kisses his husband with his eyes closed. Meaning, we need to check all the atonement boxes since we already did the African American one and it's over with, thank God!
