I see huge problems, like anybody can fuck with you, like RedFrog can phone up and say that Leonard guy is unhinged, take his guns away!

And, as I have said before, the way they mistreat your shit, tossing it in the driveway and if you ever get it back, trust me, it will be abused. Anyway, read about it here:

The only gun idea that sits well with me is the Second Amendment. No apologies. No compromise.

Seems to me that "distressing behavior" in someone else is a bit too subjective for my tastes. See Leonard's remark above.

Having law enforcement, a judge and medical professionals determine your right to bear arms based upon the aforementioned subjective process, all the while completely ignoring due process - including the Constitutional right to face your accuser is a bad idea on an infinite number of levels. Every chicken shit and yellow backed coward liberal in the country will be inclined to target someone for no other reason than that they can.

Here's a perfect illustration of how that will go - disability. My wife, according to six doctors who have actually laid hands upon her, know her by face and by name, all concur that she is unable to work because of physical damage from a car accident. Three doctors whose names were not even provided and who we don't even know where they are, voted that she could find something, somewhere, to do to make a living. Thus, no disability benefits. No arguments. No appeals. Go back to square one and start the process all over again. Meanwhile, four years later....

Red Flag Laws will be like disability apps. Per SOP, deny the right to access regardless of facts and make the applicant fight for their right. Those that are legitimate will be in there for the long haul. Those that aren't, won't. By default, you lose your rights.

The obvious answer to this parallels the GOP in Oregon.

"Come well armed and send bachelors."

Well, I know they dispute this, voice token support for the Second Amendment, but I have serious doubts. After all, that whack job mayor of New Orleans ordered confiscation of all citizens weapons. I remember watching a video of the police fighting with some old lady who's house was flooded and looked like a square island, but nevertheless, for her own good they took her only means of protection from roving bands of criminals. There are a lot of police officers only too happy to take lawful firearms from law abiding citizens. And then toss them in the friggin' trunk, doubtful if the owner will ever see them again because it's so easy to lose these things. What I am speculating and charging is that if the authorities have cause to believe a citizen is some sort of danger, there are plenty of enforcement types that will do it and broach no objection.

a PS to my above comments. Seems like I remember when people won back their property, they were told that they must produce receipts or some other proof of ownership. But, did the cops hand out receipts when they confiscated property? I don't know but I don't think so?

And, don't forget those 200 school busses available to transport folks out of the city. And that didn't happen. But instead of packing a toothbrush, they brought gun receipts with them. The whole thing is stacked in a way to make sure they get your gun and it will be a cold day in hell when you get it back.

My partner had a couple guns taken away by San Dimas sheriff deputies. It required three trips from Hesperia to the substation and appearing before a judge before the property department was handed a court order to release guns destined for the shredder. And, although I wasn't there, Pat told me that those deputies displayed attitude every step of the way but particularly when faced with a court order to comply. This is not the way it works in law enforcement. Generally speaking, when they take a gun into custody, you will never see it again.

Shortly after New Orleans, when a tornado all but wiped out Greensburg, Kansas, the first day afterwards, there was an issue with law enforcement down there seizing a found weapon - firearm. There was some confusion as to how that should be handled until local citizens threw a veritable SHIT FIT about anyone taking possession of guns other than their rightful owners, recovery efforts were stopped momentarily and the proverbial shit hit the fan. Took about fifteen minutes for a decree to be announced that ALL firearms will be logged as to where found and returned to their owners yesterday if not sooner. No problems here after that.
