The evidence that we have a sick society as well as a sick world is beyond question.

I blame the news media. Where else do people get any information, print, electronic, social media, and it's all tightly controlled, regulated and censored.

With that in mind, you have to wonder about the influence of the News Media when they breathlessly report every detail about these deranged monsters that take out their frustrations by killing complete total strangers. Okay, some decide to kill fellow workers, that they may know casually, but essentially, they are murdering virtual strangers.

But, the Media swings into high gear and the first thing they are desperate for is the identity of the perpetrator. Bingo! That's what the deranged mind wants, and he is confident that he will be famous and know he is justified in what he has done.

This is it, it's so exciting they can hardly contain themselves. I mean THE FUCKING MEDIA! They love this stuff! They sensationalize the most routine aspect, where he was parked, what he had for breakfast, who dated him in high school. It's all so GLORIOUS, and none of it escapes the next psycho lapping up the 24/7 coverage.

So this is my complaint. Quit sensationalizing the outrageous acts of deranged and pathetic people. All this does is provide food for thought for other mental retards. It's obvious they are looking for high body counts, like it's a contest. And, the Media are SAPS; they play right into the hands of the murderers and the mental deviants that are standing by and taking notes.

I am demanding that the News impose virtual blackouts of these sick contests. We shouldn't glorify mass murder as entertainment. Something has to change. This is becoming a National disease and nobody seems to recognize how it is feeding upon itself. We like freedom of speech and all that stuff but it is creating an engine that is perpetual in motion. We need to stop it by deemphasizing the slaughter. The mentally ill never had an original thought in their miserable life but they are Jim Dandy copy cats! That's the cycle we need to break. It's bad enough what is done for religious reasons, but catering to the crazy people in society is something we can very easily deemphasize, and should!

It is a wee bit odd that we learn more about mass murderers pasts than we do about, say, barrack o bama's past.

Just sayn'.

That's odd? I know all I care to know. But I get your point. When someone goes to that much effort to conceal so much, there must be a very good reason?

I completely disregard anything and everything we are fed via the "official" media anymore. Too often, other sources have clearly demonstrated that what we've been told has been false and it simply is too easy to see how those differences have been used as means to an end in manipulating how we think and act. Enough is enough.

So many examples. I have sources through the prepper community who have direct access to first person information on world events. For instance, last week, we were told a teen aged boy died of the flu on our southern border. Pretty benign. What hasn't been reported is that at the exact same time, information was coming through more reliable back channels that there was an outbreak of smallpox there and that officials were scrambling to contain it.

If you monitor foreign news outlets, you'll see reports being made in real time of Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel as well as unbiased accounts of what Israel did in response and why. I've monitored this and it generally takes, on average, 24-36 hours before our news media gives even a cursory mention of events. Plenty long enough for them to alter and rearrange the details so as to elicit the proper response, or lack of.

I have Indians (from India) on my route. They used to receive newspapers from home. Such a stark difference in how reporting is done there. Front page color photographs of dead and dismembered bodies from terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, our front pages have, at best, pictures of nothing of relevance and nothing to alarm, and at worst, yet another false flag attack on Trump.

The officials in Virginia did the right thing in announcing that they would only say the shooter's name one time. It's the media that has made him famous. The unintended consequence of copy cat psychos is what we see. What they intend to do - their means to an end - is to foment further aversion to guns so as to further the liberal agenda of disarming the American populous en route to full social domination and control. Even as I type that, it sounds insane paranoid, but any reasonable person can't help but see it for what it is. And they're effective in doing so. How often do any one of us see a news report and experience an initial visceral response, until we remind ourselves to consider the source and take a moment to question the intent of the story line and, after considering less widespread sources, how their story compares with what we know to be true?

I have always wondered why our Media is so concerned with assaulting our sensibilities. Sure, I appreciate that we aren't shown the gore involved with gunshot wounds, but the more important thing is that we never see a nipple! I'm pretty sure the Puritans were less puritanical than our Mainstream Media. I think I grew up not understanding there was something known as pubic hair. Thank God!

I just found out accidentally why the Media or whoever decides these things, sanctimoniously announced they would only use his name once, and never again, supposedly to keep his fame to a minimum. He's black. That doesn't fit with the narrative, all these shooters are middle-aged white dudes. Am I beginning to think we are being spoon fed "news" by our "Fourth Estate."

Chicago just had 31 shootings in 12 hours. I guess that unarmed victims don't shoot back when you have enough gun control.

Koko, I just saw a news report that cited Chicago's numbers as 50 shootings and 10 deaths this past weekend. Worst this year. Cannot imagine what it would be like if they were actually allowed to have guns!

With all due respect to the anti-Facebook crowd here, one way to circumvent the lamescream media bias is through social media sites where you can actually vet different sources and identify those who actually report what's going on. A shit ton of that is available via Facebook and you have access to a lot of information that you won't find thru conventional sources. I ignore any concerns about breaches of privacy. There are more people misusing my information every single day who acquired it through things I do on a regular basis, like what I purchase with my debit card and where, what I purchase online, and who I have established business relationships with through online daily business, like purchases, paying bills, etc..

That good for nothing miscreant from over there in Safford had better check in here pretty soon or just imagine him trying to make himself understood if the Administrator took away the first 13 letters of the alphabet and replaced them with X's.

Well, I can't do that right now, but don't make me think about it, hard telling what I'd come up with. No, not me, but I have a software engineer on staff with nothing to do.

PS social media? Hell, might as well, nobody around here kills anything anymore.

Can't afford to. I catch a big rash of shit from my local buddies for the number of times I've had to have surgery to fix this or that from hunting. Mostly knees. Last weekend, a friend had six chickens killed. Coon tracks inside the pens and coyote tracks outside, but she wanted the coyotes killed. Made one stand near her house, didn't see anything. Next day, on the route, blew my right knee out. MRI today confirmed, torn cartilage. Coyote karma is kicking my ass one joint at a time. LOL

(Still won't stop me)

Do jackrabbits count? How about fish? Just spent three weeks over in Port Mansfield Texas chasing speckled trout and Redfish on the Laguna Madre, nothing big but nice on light tackle. Seen a lot of coyote tracks along the beach on the north end of S.Padre I, they seem to be thriving in the dunes along the coast.
