I don't understand this? Second time I have seen a V22 Osprey land at our little general aviation Cable Airport!
I can't imagine this? Seldom if ever do I see any military aircraft at Cable....except for vintage stuff for air shows, B25's, DC3's and old prop fighters.
One time there was a flyby of a S3 Viking, Navy jet but it didn't land, I doubt the runway was long enough?
Maybe it might have something to do with the fires north of here? Stopping for gas, going or coming from Yuma?
Trust me, this is very strange, highly unusual. This aircraft is very unusual, you cannot mistake it for something else. For two cents, I would drive over there and see what's going on?
I will say one thing, the pilot took just about the shortest turn into the landing pattern I have ever seen? Short by a half mile, at least?
I see these things, (landings) going on all day from my house, I'm slightly uphill from the airport. it's a strange event, trust me!
I just thought y'all needed to know!
Good hunting. El Bee
