Thanks Paul. I always love that stuff !!

I've noticed the FB links don't work unless you are signed up there ?

I check in every so often there. We got another Jersey calf. Next one is a beef cow !!

In process of building some additional fencing for the calves to be combined with the goats. Working my ass off & having the time of my life !!

Yes, I'm a tired old man. Totally worth it though [Smile]

I was expecting a different "Dave" for some reason? We really do need a GOAT FORUM.

Those goats need to learn to sit and hold their front hooves to the fire, rub them together a little and generally act more human.

There is a Yukon show I watched a few days ago where one of the men bought four goats to supplement their winter meat supply. In about a day and a half, he was already getting attached to them. They seem a little like dogs, as far as their relationship with humans. So, why is Beelzebub always depicted as a goat with horns? Can we solve that mystery today?

Good hunting. El Bee

We were buying eggs from a local farmer. One day I went out there but they weren't home. When I parked the truck I kept hearing crying that sounded a lot like a predator call so I went to the fence to see what it was. It was a baby got that the farmer's wife was hand feeding and bringing into the house. Incredibly cute with a huge set of ears hanging way down.

Whenever I see goats, especially young goats, I have to smile.

I hadn't thought about why Satan has ram horns. Probably hates goats.

I do have a fireplace. Not sure if'n, I'm a Goat Father enough to get 'em to it ? and rub hooves together Lol

I don't know what it is ? just sumthin' about 'em..

The lady we bought our last calf from, had a three month old male "Nubian" he has a dog caller on him. He's named. Jimmy-John, he followed me around everywhere there.

I think, Moe is talking a "Nubian" maybe looks something like this.

Gives me an idea! I could sneak a young goat into the back yard and nobody would know. Especially if I have Pinky teach him to bark. I'll buy the little feller a dog collar and get him a license. Then, if busted, claim "I dint know"? I thought he was a Nubian Coonhound?

This is a true story. I had a harbor seal that I found abandoned on the rocks when snorkeling down in Laguna one day. I had him all summer but my folks weren't too crazy about his bathroom habits, i.e.: in the pool. Anyway, the novelty wore off and fish procurement became a problem and him and the dogs didn't get along, so....

Me and my buddy were driving Lakewood Blvd headed to (where else?) Seal Beach. I was holding my seal in my lap so he can stick his nose out the window like a dog. And, we are stopped at a signal, and "Lucky" looks over at this monkey in the car beside us and all hell broke loose. I think it must have been a spider monkey, but he flipped out and Lucky wanted a piece of him and it was hard maintaining side by side so somebody had to break it off. It was a hell of a ruckus, let me tell you!

Harbor seals have needle sharp teeth and they hiss like a snake. Anyway, when he hit the beach, he dove right in and never looked back.

I'm surprised my folks put up with it as long as they did, that stream of urine every morning as he dove in was strong and required extra chlorine. But, they won't pee on shore or the diving board, must be in the water, unfortunately. I had a lot of friends that liked to come over and swim with Lucky who had the habit of barreling across underwater and poking his nose in your belly. You never get used to it, let me tell you!

Strolling down Memory Lane.

Good hunting. El Bee

You're in Gov. Moonbeam's Calif.
You don't need a dog license for a goat.
You can get a marriage license and everyone will 'understand'.

Long ago I had a goat I raised up. He'd follow me on my horse and would help gather cows. Rode on the feed trailer like the dogs. The he got older bigger and when he'd get lose he would go after my mom. So to the sale yard he went.
