Yeah, bout 75 ish or so here, about 40 when I walked out to the truck this morning. I cant stand it when I have to turn on the wipers for a couple seconds to knock frost off the windshield.
What a pain!

You know it's getting chilly when you have to scrape the ice off INSIDE the windshield and the defrosters are on High. Good way to make a quick snow-cone for the drive. [Smile]

Yep, a new level of cold for us here. That was with out the windchill also. Equipment everywhere jelling up. Still trying to dig out from the 12 inches of snow we got tuesday. Of course, all that fell on top of the 18 inches we got last tuesday. School has been out here for two weeks. Every east/west road is drifted closed. Of course, next week will be nothing but mud, mud, mud. Can't wait for the week after that and the burn bans and dust storms....LOL.

At least you have a trees to slow the wind. We have nothing but a barbed wire fence and the top two wires fell down 20 years ago. Are all the important body parts still attached or did some of 'em start fallin' off?

It got down to 5 degrees here, last week. I know that's a heat wave compared to what some of you guys deal with, but in Southern Az. NOBODY was prepared for it. Frozen / broken water pipes all over the Gila Valley. Almost all of the large BeaverTail PrickelyPear cactus froze & wilted. Rotting cacti........eccchh!!!

We're waiting for the Easter Bunny to bring eggs & Al Gore to bring Global Warming. [Eek!]

Yeah, right. Al Gore. That idiot said last week that all the cold snaps and record low temperatures are perfectly consistent with GLOBAL WARMING; excuse me, he means "Climate Change" which as we all know, can mean anything Big Al says it means. The only thing that can save us is REGULATION, and we need to do it quick!

I was in northern AZ about a month ago and froze my ass off and it was only about 20 degrees.

Yep, it's amazing how all this cold weather proves; what was it? Climate change! The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

Liberals are such maroons.

Good hunting. LB

It is interesting how the media and other warming proponents have now abandoned the term "climate change" and are back on the "global warming" band wagon. They must feel to have traction.

What a dufus; no wonder Tipper dumped him.

I've said this before, but it's worth repeating.
The earth has been getting warmer since the end of the last ice age. It will continue to get warmer until the beginning of the next ice age, It's just like seasons, on a much longer scale and has been going on for tens of thousands of years...........and there's not a damn thing anybody can do about it.

I'll be waiting out by the mailbox for my Nobel Peace Prize.

But, the hysterics keep telling us that the climate is reacting to man made influences. It's people that are causing GLOBAL WARMING, and by the way, sniffs Al; "it's settled science".

Scientists collectively, are losing credibility. And, (to hear them tell it) they know so much more than ordinary citizens, it's not funny.

The main thing is to keep the money flowing. More research is needed. What I call Scientific Welfare. These people seem to think that all they need to do is flash a "badge" and nobody else has a point of view. Losing credibility. A shame, but true. You listening, NASA?

Yeah, and in the late '50s 'they' told us "The Solution To Polution Is Dilution". We believed them and began the era of the 'super-smokestacks'.

In the '60s we were told that Global COOLING was going to freeze the world's crop production and we were all going to starve. There was actually a plan to load black soot into C-130 cargo planes and dump it onto the ice packs to absorb sunlight, raising temps.

In the early '70s 'they' told us that the oceans were dying and we only had ten years to 'do something'. Whatever it was that we did, it must have worked. I think that it was called 'Nothing'.

Now, 'they' are foretelling Global Warming or Climate Change, depending on what se11s best.

It's really no wonder that politicians hold the people in such low regard. The people will believe ANYTHING.

Give that man a cigar!

The polar bears will hunt on land. There is already a population explosion, they tell me. National Geographic screwed up and did a couple shows about Churchill in northern territories. The bears are as common as dogs around there, so all this hysteria about them becoming extinct because the ice melts is total bullshit. Like bears of every kind, everywhere, they will tip over garbage cans, whenever they can't catch a migrating seal, that is.

Cripes, it must be exhausting, inventing environmental crisis after crisis?

Actually, my 'where did they come from?' comment was meant to be a bit deeper. A few eons ago CLIMATE CHANGE caused terra firma (land) ajoining aqua firma (ice) to create an edge habitat. Enter the fish followed by a predator (seals) to feed on the fish. Since nature abhores a vacuume, a predator to feed on the seals was needed. So, the polar bear either disembarked as a pair from Noah's Ark (it's settled Theology) OR they evolved from another form of bear (it's settled science). Ergo; where did they come from??.............and can they go back??

I agree, deeep, as can only be attained by smoking some excellent weed. hehehe

koko kinda looks like he may have been a hippy in his early years? Could even be mushrooms?

Okay, what is settled science is evolution. But they lack evidence, therefore, they tell us it's settled science. To my way of thinking, there are enough gaps in their settled science to drive a truck through.

The scientific Community has lost credibility with the public. I can't believe what they tell me as an article of faith. I mean, I accept that Pluto is out there, although I have not seen it personally. I accept that I won't fall off the edge of the earth if I keep walking in one direction. But there are murky things they tell us with shaky proof, proof that changes regularly. All I know to be true is humans are unique and none of the humanoid fossils show a step by step progression, it requires one to imagine progressions that they have spent centuries looking for but still can't find.

Good hunting. LB

And who can spot me 20 grand for the cost of the hunt? [Big Grin]
