Not a great deal of information. An accidental discharge. Yeah, but. What the hell was a loaded gun (sounds like an elk rifle?), but not sure, doing in a vehicle? So, somehow a rifle discharges in some kind of utility vehicle. Man, that right there is just about as bad as it gets! Somebody's got some "splain' to do, Lucy! I bet the asshole that caused it feels real bad, huh? They never learn, do they?

We sure don't need stuff like this. Elk hunting in February?

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: All I know is that I have been in the practice of opening a bolt and pulling it back all the way. At night, hunting predators, sometimes I just lift the bolt handle; I know it's not exactly Kosher but when you have a partner for 25 years, you can usually trust each other to be careful.

Anyway, what makes me uneasy is, (in the first place) I'm sorry but hunting predators with a friggin' "assault rifle" bugs the hell out of me and quite often these are the guys that leave a round chambered with the safety engaged. The other problem with the damned black guns is if they do clear the chamber, at the next stand, there is that god awful racket involved in chambering a round befor e you walk out. I'm just an old fossil that really does not appreciate America's Rifle; the AR15. Sorry!

Oh, right! He didn't pull the trigger, did he?

Despite scads of demonstration You Tube videos showing, beyond doubt, that what he alleges is complete malarkey! Well, of course, I wouldn't wish such misfortune on anyone, I truly wish that this asshole pays for what he did, even if it was only gross negligence.

Good hunting. El Bee
