Well, I'm apparently just a compulsive fool.

First of all, I brought Tillie and Geezus! She tires me out, has zero leash discipline! I mean, waiting in the friggin' AMMO AISLE! Think Snail Pace and then double it!

At least it was about 5times more organized than what I went through at Turners about 3-4 months ago. That was a waste of time and expensive and I tried very hard to find something to buy. I think I walked out of there with some 45ACP and some shorty shotshell slugs and that was it? And I was primed to buy, very motivated.

Okay, so they had stuff and the last time I bought Herter's 9mm FMJ it was $9.99 a box. Today, they were $16.99 and I passed on that.

I got a super cool red/yellow box of Winchester SuperX 22 LR, 40 grain 1280fps, a 300 round box. It was $34.99 says limited edition, has retro packaging.

There's a guy on the Internet that seems to spend every day documenting availability and prices driving all over the place. I think he says he has a max price point of 6 1/2 cents per round? So, I guess I paid twice that amount? <shrug> (and I don't need it, I'm just hoarding)

Then I was a little choosy, and they weren't super stocked but there was plenty I could have bought, bulk type, but I decided to get more premium critical duty type of stuff.

I got 2 boxes of Winchester Defender, low flash 45AUTO, 230 gr. bonded jacketed hollowpoint 20 round box. It looks like serious social ammo, kinda pricy @ 32.99 per box. When prices come down, I'll probably be sorry?

Next, picked up 2 boxes of AMMO inc. 40S&W 180 gr JHP and it was $21.99 for 20 rounds. I never heard of it before but I thought the price was reasonable? Again, I have lots of 40S&W on hand, but since everybody now loves 9mm, nobody wants the 40....bunch of pussies!

Then I got two boxes of Winchester SILVERTIP 9mmLuger, 115gr. "Defense JHP" 20 rounds per box and they were $16.99. I could have bought Herter's 9mm fmj 50 rnds for the same price, but I already have 400/500 rounds of that on hand.

Grand total was $193.76 including sales tax and I thought, (at the last minute) to put it on my BassProShop card, which I never use for anything unless I'm in that store. So, you get cash back, not sure how much?

Anyway, that was my adventure today. $193 spent that I didn't need, but I don't stock up on any rifle, I handload everything and the only ammo I'm stockpiling is handgun. I handload pistol, especially for revolver cartridges. Autos toss brass all over and I save what I can, but revolvers are so much more civilized, never lose any, and they never hit the dirt or the concrete.

Good hunting. El Bee

PS Dodgers wildcard playoff game today. Pray for my team!

Here's a little gem that I forgot to mention yesterday about my visit to BassProShops.

You know, when I was dragged past all the glass counters to get into the AMMO LINE, I only noticed a lot of optics. After I had my ten pounds of ammo, I saw a passing clerk and asked him about, where's the handguns?

He took me down the line and showed me two Kimber's and something else, I don't remember what it was, but the Kimbers were 45ACP and I just don't know what the other one was? That was it, on the top shelf! Three semi auto pistols, two of which were in the $1200 range. edit: it was a Rock River? government Model in the 500/600 dollar range.

Below was a few Ruger Wranglers in 22rimfire and they were two hundred and something, different colors and again, there was only 3 or 4, nothing to interest me.

So, this store has display cases that could hold, and "before" they did hold hundreds of handguns. Now, to prevent embarrassingly empty shelves, now they are crammed with scopes.

Yes, a big outfit like BassPro had a total or 7 or 8 handguns. From full size 1911's to cheap western style single action, fun guns. That's pretty pathetic, tells you the state, or the condition of availability in this fucked up state. There is LITERALLY, nothing to buy? It's dried up!

And, as usual, if they can do it here, they can do it where you are! Who would ever believe that Idaho, Nevada New Mexico and (ta dah) Arizona would be drifting into the Liberal asshole column? See how a little cheating can push you over the top?

It doesn't look good, people! Restore my faith; arrest and prosecute Lying Joe Biden before he does any more damage!

Good hunting. El Bee
