We will all become rich beyond or wildest dreams. As a matter of fact I have a couple descendants that were held as slaves by indians for a couple years in the 1700's. They were freed by a group of Patriots and even wrote a book about it. But I doubt if that counts for anything as at that time they didn't identify as blacks that were sold as slaves by other blacks in Africa. They sold them to the American farmers. Some asshole assembled an army to free them. So, two white armies killed each other over a bunch of slaves. This is another example of GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE where spin control bullshits the gullible. I've said it many times: do you really think 650,000 white Americans, brother against brother, father against son, fought and killed each other, for four long years.... to free the slaves? Did the average white man, north and south, really care that much about the institution of slavery that they were willing to fight and die, in order to right that grievous wrong? Do you really believe that shit? While slavery had been an issue for a long time, southern legislators had been outvoted on issue after issue long enough to understand that they were dealing with a stacked deck, so to speak. Why participate when their votes never decided anything? The representation in the congress was predicated on smaller southern population and if that wasn't bad enough, the slaves were counted as 5/8ths of a free man. Realistically, it was obvious that the southern states would continually lose due to their smaller population and representation. This is not hard to understand. If they joined the Union voluntarily, why could they not leave when dissatisfied, when no issue was decided in their favor? So, apparently, the question became a matter of SPIN CONTROL?
