The left talks about Democracy, but thinks Socialism and censorship on the inside.

The “Left” consists of TRUE BELIEVER LIBERALS! They have NO saving grace! They aren’t fair. They ain’t honest! They believe in any means necessary, lie, cheat, rig elections, destroy ballots and fill out ballots for dead people. They have no shame when it comes to what’s best for us because THEY KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR US! They are just fucked up people! The Left is Evil!

They have already turned it into 1984 and we are now living the movie Idiocracy for real. And that movie was made quite awhile ago. Can't help but believe the Patriot Act helped those bastards get things rolling for them. Can't wait to vote next week. And maybe get a handle on the damage that the left has done.

Yes, I wish George W never signed that patriot act. They put safeguards in place to stop the abuse, but as Jeff Cooper once said "any law that can be abused someday will be abused". They built that huge data collection center in Salt Lake City. On the surface it looks small, but underneath it is huge. I would bet that they can record every phone conversation in the US and probably the whole damn world.
BTW Brawndo is good for you

^that was a sick movie! But what is memorable about it for me besides that conveyor belt is that my brother rated it as one of the best movies he has ever seen, or something like that; he really liked it. My rating would be firmly in the middle without any noteworthy redeeming qualities, Hard to believe we had the same parents, but without evidence, I have to accept the situation.
Great movies start with The Godfather 1 & 2. I think they date from the early 70's? Movies, action movies in particular have gone all digital special effects, and it's actually insulting, the specularity of the stuff blowing up, etc. I'm really not a great fan of the genre, but they haven't made a decent Scifi movie since the early 50's, and they were all in black and white. I had a girlfriend that would not watch any "old movie" meaning that she was only interested in the most recent releases, and particularly would not watch a black and white movie. Naturally, she was a big fan of action movies, unless there is a better word? Other than that, she is a nice person.
Best war movie? I kind of like "Platoon" but " "Apocalypse Now" also good, especially the Redux version, suddenly there's a French County Villa in the jungle. You know, it was firstly called FRENCH INDO CHINA. I like most all the WWII vintage war movies including depth charged submarines. But I'm a fan of the class. Full Metal Jacket? maybe a B- ?
I'm generally a fan of MGM musicals also the earlier Astair/Rogers movies. I've tried to watch Gone With The Wind a couple times. Some people, (females in particular) think that movie is great. A great movie? Lawrence of Arabia! It's just beautiful!
A list of good movies:
The Treasure of Sierra Madre Young Frankenstein Pulp Fiction The Getaway-original Bus Stop The Searchers From Here to Eternity Deliverance Ben Hur Easy Rider Casablanca Where Eagles Dare Bonnie and Clyde Kill Bill 1&2 Lawrence of Arabia*
(just missed the list) Bride of Frankenstein Plan 9 From Outer Space/just kidding! It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World Being There Out of Africa Where the Red Fern Grows & Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns, like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
So, in my opinion: they haven't made a really decent movie in a while. And, But, I don't go to the Cinema often however "Top Gun Maverick" was pretty good, and lacked a bunch of digital special effects.
Anybody have a suggestion?
Good hunting. El Bee

It probably says something about western civilization that most of our current blockbuster movies are based on comic books.
Off of the top of my head;
The Windwalker and The Man From Snowy River and Wizards (animated) and 300

I heard that 300 was all videograph something and there were only about 10 real actors. You think so? I also heard it is easily in the top 3 with Gay men?
edit: I think the other 2 are both Steve Reeves movies?

Let's not forget Blazing Saddles.
Son of the Morning Star, probably the most accurate depiction of the Little Bighorn battle.

Water Hole #3 was truly a classic.
And of course, Robin Hood Men In Tights.

Just watched Tom Cruise in Oblivion on Netflix. Interesting story line. I liked it.
I'm a fan of old. Since my retirement kicked in and with no knees to walk, I've become a real fan of old westerns:
Gunsmoke Cheyenne Rawhide Wagon Train.
Historically accurate movies are best - the ones to which we can relate.
Fury Saving Private Ryan Band of Brothers
These tried to portray much of the same areas of operation where my great uncle Pete served in the months following D-Day. The video imagery is very close to the actual photos he took in theater except for the true gore.AS realistic as those movies are, none have been quite as "real" as a 3x4 b&w snap shot my brother has of a German halftrack on its side with the charred remains of six SS troopers hanging out of it. My brother has the staghorn gold inlaid saber my uncle liberated from the officer of that rig.
1917 was a good movie for WWI.
What was that John Wayne movie? The War Wagon. They both shot simultaneously and killed both their targets? Kirk Douglas looks at Wayne and says, "Mine hit the ground first." and Wayne replies back, "Mine was taller."
