I was just a little late from the grocery store. I had checked the schedule and it said it would start at 3:00. Okay, fine so I peeled potatoes and carrots browned the steak and dumped everything in the crockpot, turned on the TV at 3:30 and I hadn't even missed the kick off.
You know, the Super Bowl #1 was played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and it was blacked out except for some special cable TV when nobody would pay for cable TV. There was some kind of supposed bootleg rigged up bust basically it was pretty HoHum, life went on and maybe we would read about it in the sport pages, back when people had a paper thrown on the porch every day. Imagine that?
Don't ask me who played in the first Super Bowl? But they have succeeded in making a big fucking deal out of America's game; I heard it called that, maybe yesterday...Touchdown, Rams! Good catch!
The commercials have managed to /////OOPS, Joe Namath is still OK! But, as I was saying the commercials are mainly stupid and have managed to SO overdo it that I've been sick of them for years. Overdone, overhyped, and way too cute and too much insider stuff. And the cost per 30 second commercial is insane. And, I just heard that "snoopdog is the halftime show? Does he really have the time now that he's banging Martha Stewart?
Question: do actual fans buy tickets or are they all gobbled up by corporate and handed out as favors? I notice the head umpire is an affirmative Action selection, of course!
This game is a joke and why do I have it on?

Oops ........ I missed it but apparently I didn't miss much. To be honest, I couldn't even tell you who was playing.
Much like the Olympics .......... just not interested.

Rather than sitting on a couch eating crap that plugs up the heart and watching some overpaid prima-donnas get out and fuking DO something. Play flag football. Go for a bike ride. Walk the dog. Just DO something.

I gotta be honest, I had the game on but wasn't watching, except the last 2 minutes and It was a good finish.
I was in the kitchen during halftime but I could see that shit from a reflection off a picture on the wall. I ducked in and looked at maybe 15 seconds of black bebop, jive ass, rap shit, so called entertainment, ENTERTAINMENT????
We know who was targeted and I felt sorry for those in the expensive seats that were forced to watch an embarrassing half time "show"?
Who dreamed up that mess?

edit: I walked the dog yesterday, me and Tillie went to the dog park, and she socialized with everybody, humans and canine. She had to jack up a horny German Shepard but that didn't take long.

My point above was that more and more I see people's social activity being a face buried in a 'smart phone' and their physical activity limited to being a 'fan' of some 'game'.
And that's not just dumb .......... that's Democrat Dumb.

I've been hearing that it was actually a pretty exciting game. I sat down and watched the last about 3 minutes and it was an actual cliffhanger.
But seriously folks, the costs are out of control, it's not that much of a big fucking deal in spite of Media constantly hammering that concept into our brains.
And another thing, it ain't America's game! Baseball is vastly a more traditional American pastime. Where normal sized people can participate. Unlike NBA and NFL!

Believe it or not there is no over the air NBC feed into this area. So no Sucker Bowl or Olympics and I won't pay for any of it so not missing anything.
