I have not, nor will be a masker, it's not an airborne pathogen, so it makes no sense to me?
Ive figured out the pathway to contamination thru careful observation in the local walmart. I watched folks, both maskers and freebirds in the produce section, almost everyone wets their finger tips to open the plastic bags you pull off the roll at the various sections, fruit, veggies etc.
So as people stroll thru the area, they rip off a bag, then lick their fingers. Actually a damp sponge set at each plastic bag roll station could do more to prevent spread of the virus than a mask.
Had a Dr. appointment last week, dreaded going for I just knew I'd have to break my vow not to be a masker. Had one in my pocket just in case I was scolded for entering without one. Every patient in the waiting room had one plastered to their mug except me.
I approached the window to sign in and noticed none of the staff was wearing a mask, this is a good sign I thought.
Was led into patient room and did the 10 minute wait until the doctor arrived.....no mask! I asked whats up with that, she said they did it for a month and half and in her words, "we're so done with that".
Unofficial masker count at Walmart was about 10-15% of folks use them, interestingly, among the Coloreds and Asians I'd say 98% of them are masked up?

I do the same thing in the produce section I Always toss the first bag ! And i reach under it to grab it!

I swear, I'm one small step away from getting a mask made from a Confederate Flag and not because I'm a racist.
What started with a mediocre football player disrespecting the National Anthem has snowballed to the point that now my beloved game of Chess is 'racist' because white always goes first. (I can't make this shit up !! )
The Confederate Flag has long been a symbol of Rebel Resistance that can now say "Enough is Enough".
Or, I could just have a mask made with the British Union Jack; most people wouldn't know the difference anyway.

Funny you mention my meds Leonard, ya know, the only thing I take is an aspirin a day if I remember. Been very fortunate in the area of senior illness and other than knees and shoulders that ache when I get up, no major health problems yet?
No mandatory masks in my county, and I would react with civil disobedience if it was. If someone wants to wear a fucking mask if it makes them feel safe have at it, just don't make your fear, my fear, I'm not with that program. Every time I see a mask, all I see is a sign across their face that says " I can't think for myself".
You know, I can't even remember the last time Ive heard a person cough or sneeze in a public setting? Again, it's spread by snot and spit, it's not airborne like measles, smallpox, chicken pox etc, ya gotta come in contact with the little virus. It's what you touch and then do with your hands, ie: touch your eyes,nose or mouth. Simple as that, unless someone coughs or sneezes right in your face, and when can you remember someone doing that?

On that note I spotted a guy yesterday about three miles out of town pop (1400) walking his dog all masked up ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)
There wasn't a house for maybe 1/2 mile or so.

Now, for Victor. Seems like you had a complaint about pain a while back and I responded, or am I thinking of someone else? No matter, never mind, etc.
But, as far as sticking to your principles and all that stuff. Look, I'm as hard headed and ornery as the next guy, but around here, it's like this: everybody complies! They have a sign at the door like the one you used to see;
"NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE"
Only this time it says: If You enter this facility, you must wear a mask. I'm telling ya, it's like that video in New Yak where everybody in the store was screaming and assaulting a woman who didn't have a mask on. Nobody ever asked her story, maybe she didn't have one, or she was like Victor; "I'm too independent for such foolishness."
So, here, at least, I really really think it's easier to go along with it rather than fighting management AND your fellow citizens. And, they would fuck with ya, somebody would, on the grounds that you are putting everybody else in danger because of your stubbornness. I think discretion is the better part of valor. But, if you want to blaze your own trail, good luck! I'm talking here, not there. If I was there, I'd be the same way but I'm not, I'm here and it just ain't worth it, at this point.

I hear ya, all of the above! It's a slippery slope and these "people" are serious CONTROL FREAKS! They really get off on stuff like requiring everybody, everywhere, all the time, to wear an approved mask!
And yes, a chip implant is an erection enhancer; especially for those that cannot pee standing up. I'm sure it's in the development stage, somewhere?
I understand the implications being voiced. Yes, if we aren't careful, and even if we are careful, one of these days we could be loaded on the boxcars, destined to the Democrats Indoctrination Centers with miles of energized Concertina wire.
It will be just like Austria, where they welcomed the NAZIS with open arms, no use of force necessary. At least the French made a token effort, so far as I know, the Dutch didn't? Don't wear a mask around the local area. But Idaho is going off the deep end. Boise/Treasure valley is now the hot spot of the state.
I won't go down there.
Need to run into Idaho Falls next week for groceries and such. I'll have a mask on when I go into the stores down there and I will coat my hands with hand sanitizer too.
The amount of out of staters coming through this community coming to fish, hike and so forth is unreal. Who knows what all they are carrying with them and on themselves. We have a little health clinic and that it. It will be a airplane ride into Idaho Falls to the hospital if you get a serious case of C-19.

Saw a guy today in a car, windows rolled up, wearing a mask with a hole cut in it for his cigarette. Needless to say, he was in the WalMart parking lot.

If a masker believes the rag on their face protects them from inhaling a pesky china flu particle, why would they ever bother to worry about an individual not having a rag on their face?
Im not connecting the dots on their logic; they are protected, Im not, so just carry on and mind your own fucking business. Feel safe and smug in the presumption your wearing the seal of social responsibility, your free to do that. Im free to not do that if I so choose.
Taking the legal aspect out of this, look to the wearing of a seatbelt. Your free to buckle up if you want and feel safe that if your hit the brakes or happen to hit an object, you will have prevented your nose from impacting the steering wheel....good on you. But, if someone else chooses not to wear their seatbelt, and even if they have an accident, what fucking difference in the world does that make to you?
If one feels virtuous and safe and all the other emotions that go along with wearing a rag on your face, have at it, I could give two shits, just leave those who choose not to the fuck alone.
