America needs to put the "Open for Business" sign out. This whole COVID19 lock down was the wrong policy. The population of New York City is 8.4 million. One fifth of New York's population is 1,680,000 (see attached article below) and this is how many people are asymptomatic because they have tested positive for Covid19 antibodies. New York has 160,000 confirmed cases of Cov19. Thus, this virus is only 1/10th as dangerous as thought. I think more people will die because of fear than this disease. The fear to go to see a doctor and get a diagnosis for a possible cancer. The fear to go into a hospital to be treated for a stroke or heart pain. Open our hospitals and businesses up. What about people that need elective surgery such as knee replacement and cannot get it. Their lives are impacted negatively. Lets get on with our lives. This large number of people with antibodies means that we have a huge amount of antibody donors whose plasma can be used to protect the vulnerable. I personally blame the CDC, China and the media for this fiasco.

in regards to the initial poster. The problem with the stats listed in that article, as far as the deaths.
It's pretty much acknowledged that what they mean is that those people died and, (by the way) they also had Covid 19.
So, they died of stroke, heart attack, pneumonia and everything else short of being hit by a car. But, they also had this corona virus.
It's like they said a long time ago: Figures lie, and Liars figure!
Just what is the purpose of compiling all these bogus statistics?

Like good socialist doctrine to not let anything they can turn into a fiasco get passed up.
I do not know anybody here where I live that has the dreaded and killer virus, nor do they know of anybody.
Just one more way to try and break down America and impose their will on others.
Anything to wreck the American economy so we turn into the New World Order that they want.

Other than places that are simply shut down, I have been living my life just as I always did. I was back in Arizona a spell, and went hunting, shopping, going to feed store and hardware store, visiting family etc, no face mask, no fretting about anything.
Back here in Florida now, the same; fishing, visiting, shopping, going to the horse barn with the wife, whatever the fuck I want. Even got stopped by the Walmart police yesterday for going up, the down aisle, stocking guy gave me shit and pointed to red sign on the floor, I tired to reason with him that it was just him and I in the aisle and I would have passed him regardless.....he couldn't grasp the concept, I laughed as he was explaining and told him to page the aisle police.
My concern, is what the fuck do we do when there is an actual deadly 'real" pandemic that visits this planet? This one is laughable to me, not much different than the flu but the whole country is in a tizzy going bat shit crazy.
I wonder why the same panic is not applied to the wheel for instance? How many deaths attributed to automobile accidents, obesity, cancer, hell we kill more babies every year than this hoax of an illness ever will and no one bats an eye.
Im so fucking tired of this thing I could scream, I want to run down the aisle at Walmart stripping off face masks while coughing uncontrollably, it's all bullshit to my mind?

Our town opened up yesterday. Stores have shorter hours but they are open and doing business here. Only 2 cases and they are on the west side of the county.
The grocery stores have their adds back out and going and people have popped up and going and doing. It's been a ghost town for a month now.
Can't hold out any longer.

Anyone notice, now that we are in the tail end of this devastating pandemic ravaging our country, The prevalence of the "mask wearers" has increased, instead of decreasing....at least I find it odd?
Was in Walmart yesterday, and from a rough estimation, I was among the maybe 10% of folks not having an N95 plastered to their mug. This chink bug is not even a true airborne pathogen like smallpox, measles or chicken pox. It's spread by spit and snot, so touching shit and rubbing your eyes,nose and lips is where the real hazzard is.
Odd thing is I never see anyone with gloves, which are far better preventative than the masks? Instead, I see people touching everything in sight, then touching their face adjusting their gawd damned face mask, almost comical.......hey, when does the next stimulus check come out?, I need some more ammo.

The other day Costco sent a notice that masks are now required to enter the store. I guess I'll have to do without my Costco hotdog for awhile? At this point, the mask wearing thing seems a bit late to the party, but if it makes somebody feel all safe, go for it.
I did see a guy on a motorcycle the other day wearing a mask and it's fairly common to see people driving alone wearing them. Shaking my head on that...
In the grocery store we frequent, some cashiers wear face shields too, but no mask underneath. The cashier checking my groceries the other day was trying to be chatty and friendly, but I had one helluva time hearing her with the face-shield on and being behind the plexi-glass.
I see discarded masks in parking lots now. I imagine nobody wants to pick those fuckers up and throw them in the trash either. Maybe junked masks will replace the Walmart bags flying from most barb-wire fences and bushes?
