I was reading American Hunter this morning and came across an article that said California has banned bobcat hunting! I can't believe it!
Those Liberal Bastards! CONTROL FREAKS! You cannot give them cocksuckers an inch, nothing but socialist communist bastards!
Without any, ANY valid justification, they have banned bobcat hunting, trapping and killing until at least 2024. Watch out people! It could happen in your state, don't let your guard down. They do it BECAUSE THEY CAN! Every branch of California government is Liberal, they can do anything they want, dictate to the rest of us for our own good, as determined by those that know better.
As I have been saying for many years, and Liberals have no concept of LIBERTY. But it's subjecting the will of the MAJORITY over the minority that goes against all facets of DEMOCRACY! This is what makes Liberals and Democrats the EVIL COCKSUCKERS that they are! It's "My way, or the Highway". They always TRASH minority rights because they know what's best for the rest of us. There is zero justification for banning the taking of bobcats, but they control all politics in this state so they can do anything they damned well want!
Boy, a dark day for democracy and freedom in this fucked up state! Somebody needs to blow up Newsome's mansion, although I personally would deplore such an extreme action! This is unconstitutional, they have no right to impose their will on the rest of us! Bunnyhuggers eat shit and die!

Go re-read Macbeth; Power corrupts / Absolute power corrupts absolutely. You (Calif.) now have a government that believes it knows what's best for the people yet has zero checks & balances on it's actions. Therefore, it can use 'for the common good' to justify any and all actions while trampling on the rights of the individual.
But, hey; You have the highest income tax rates in the country. Your government can do a lot of good with that coin, like ban plastic to save the whales. Fuk the homeless / Save the whales.
Now, I'm hearing that school students can't be suspended for defying a teacher. That ought to put 'em on the right path toward a productive adulthood. ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

Oh yeah, and now they get an excused absence to political protest the subject of their teachers and administrators choice. Might even get an "A" in demonstration!
But, for God's sake, don't even THINK of wearing a red hat to school, that's way too controversial.
It must be nice to be a Liberal with their twisted sense of logic? And, fair play! And, knowing, instinctively what's best for the common rabble. (that would be you and me and every other conservative) They will spend considerable time and treasure stamping out all traces of Independence and Liberty.
Liberals are so fucked up, they can't be saved or converted. Better to just send them to one of those Muslim Capitals of Europe, like Denmark or Sweden, the rape capital.

You forgot stealing up to $900 is just a misdemeanor, and the prosecutors say they aren't going to prosecute such crimes.
So, if you see something you like under 900, grab it and run. Hell, I hear people are taking calculators into stores to make sure they don't go over $900.

Your buddy Mercer and all of his advertising when the cage trapping was hot. Caught the eye of the bunny huggers big time and they are the ones that pushed to outlaw bobcat trapping.

Really? Mercer's a good dude. He does know cat trapping and I taught him a little about night hunting cats. In all modesty, nobody knows more about that subject.
I bought my 22-243Middlested from him, it's too destructive for a fur hunter but he uses a 22-250 Ackley for coyote contests, and thats really all he needs in that application.
Be that as it may, I love that rifle, and it came with a second 22-250Ackley barrel which I have never even bothered to screw on....yet. They are both premium Shilen barrrels, I think I stole it!
Anyway, haven't talked to him lately. The only place for him is Arizona, now. It's a damned shame that people that don't know shit can pass laws that affect others that know what they are doing, and Mercer knows what he's doing.

PS Mercer was with me the night I fulfilled kind of a quest or something? I always wondered about people stumbling across bodies out in the desert. As much time as I have spent out in the weeds, I should have found at least one, by now. Well, we did. Old Army retiree in a Jeep fell out of his vehicle one night, in the rain. We called it in and waited to escort Barstow police to the scene. Made for a very exciting night. (finally checked that box)

When he was up and selling his cages his ads were saying thousand dollar cats were being collected. Plus he had several guys out there using his cages and helping to push his ads.
It was the thousand dollar wording that got it done. They believed that the bobcats would become extinct.
Now Mercer cages in Colorado.

No shit? I think of him every time I drive through Barstow. He had a good job at the solar plant, too. Maybe he just makes a safari to Colorado but still lives here? Otherwise, he's a lot smarter than me and got the hell out!

Holy shit! And AZ cats were not too impressive next to what Mercer would turn out. I believe he always got top dollar up in Fallon, as in highest price paid but I must have missed the thousand dollar cats? But no kidding, he put up some beautiful fur. Many came from the Sierra's, Kennedy Meadows and all over the White Mountains. Then after he got them all, he would trap local mountains around Barstow late season and by then, they were pretty nice too!
Although I could only take a measly 5 cats, with a trappers license, there was no limit. Those days are gone, apparently? Liberals are such control freak assholes!
