Lottery. I last bought $20 worth of tickets about 20 years ago. Didn't win anything, wasted my money, so to hell with it! I feel the same way about slot machines. What in the hell possesses people to sit there for hours while they slowly lose money?

I don't play any casino games. Oh, rarely I might play craps or blackjack, maybe roulette, but I'm probably just waiting for something and passing the time. I do like poker though. Fuck "video" poker! No, if a casino doesn't have a card room, I walk right back out the door I came in. I can, and have played hold'em for all day and all night. Not particularly lucky or good, but at the stakes I play, you can't bluff anybody for ten dollars. A thousand, maybe? That's different and I can't afford to sit at that table. But, that (poker) involves some self control, some discretion and a bit of skill. And I enjoy the game. The rest, might as well be Three Card Monte, I just have no interest.

Now, what the hell were we talking about? How about which casino has the best food? I vote for Wynn and Treasure Island, in Vegas. The Morongo and San Manual are pretty good, out here, Morongo's buffet is great on prime rib day and not worth it on "Italian" day. The Pechango (sp) brings a hell of a good dinner right to the table while you play and the service is excellent.

The Lotto? No thanks, that's a sucker bet.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: I must be very messed up? Is Earthwalker talking dirty?

The Lottery is a tax on people who can't do math.
Spoiler Alert .............. You're gonna lose in the long run.
I broke even on the Lotto again this week; Didn't win. Didn't lose. Didn't play.

Gotta admit, though, I did play at one time where I used to work. When somebody's Power Balls got up into the Mega-Millions everybody would chip in $5 and one of the guys would go buy a shitload of tickets.
I knew that we weren't going to win. The $5 was just insurance against being the only guy left working if they did win and all walk out. [Eek!]

Statistically, the odds of winning are are so close to zero as to effectively be zero.

You can't lose if you don't play.

Actually, when the Calif. Scratch-Off tickets first came out they were kind of cool. There was a $5,000 dollar max. and a lot of $100 & $500 dollar winners. Then they went to big-bucks winners. Stands to reason that one Million dollar winner could have been a whole lot lesser $$ winners.
Funny thing; When the Calif. Lottery was first proposed, it was to Save Our Schools. Then a few short years later, a Ballot Initiative to increase taxes to Save Our Schools. (But nobody would talk about an Audit of the Lotto Admin.)

This is something I have always bitched about. That people only are interested in playing if it's up to at least $500,000,000! Then one person wins, and they elect to take $200,000,000 in cash. WTF? What a fucking scam! The Loto wins, big time! or is it taxes?

Myself, in all seriousness, I believe it would be far better to have 350 people win a million dollars each! The greed is astounding! Total sucker bet.

Good hunting. El Bee

It is a total sucker bet I play $3.00 every four or five months a buck on the Pick 2 on the Powerball !
Just has to hit me on the right day or my wife asks me to get a ticket! when I used to go to Vegas I would play the slot closest to the elevator it gets hit hard day and night still up about $800.00 lol Craps was fairly lucky for me!
Vegas just beneath the shiny exterior lies absolutely nothing !

Hmm? I sorta figured you were smarter than that. Using ko ko as a ....never mind! Just kidding! Victor sounds like he actually plays the lottery? Go figure, on that?

Still, he could probably give us a briefing on his consultations and pain meds. You know?

I made a living building casinos and working around them as a finish carpenter. You don't build casinos, suits and fine eating on winners. It takes a lot of losers to keep those places going. Just how I see it anyways. Retired from that rat race thank you Lord!
