The things Americans accomplished 50 years ago, are now impossible. Why, you may ask? For me, I blame LIBERALS!
As the man says, build a transcontinental railroad in 6 years versus ten years of fucking around in the central valley and not one foot of track laid! We built the Hoover damn on schedule and under budget. Same with the Golden Gate Bridge. We can't do those things today. If you are looking to blame anybody, why not my favorite, fucking Liberals?
Anyway, read about it and ask yourself exactly why we cannot suddenly do anything of import? To use my favorite expression: IT'S PATHETIC!

Leonard you know it is true.Liberals and the hooray for me fuck you mindset that has been taught in our schools of good socialist doctrine.
Too much of the the needs of the one outweighing the needs of the many.You could go on and on but it's true. The kids today can't read or write and rely on someone else's opinion for facts and then they become the politicians in today's world that only believe that they have it easy and are above the people who elected them. What have those shit for brains demoncraps done for ANYBODY in the last three years since Trump upset their little world of taking over the USA ? Absolutely nothing except waste our tax dollars, which they seem to think there is no limit.
Most of us here will be gone in too short of time and the USA we remember will be just like that article you linked to.
So sad but true.
I really pity the grandkids as they are inheriting a doomed, morally corrupt nation.That they will be too stupid to even care. The movie Idiocracy really was a documentory on how the once great USA is going. Stupid people breeding like rabbits more stupid people and anyone with a half ounce of brains not having kids at all giving rise to the future.

You just have to wonder how they managed to build the Chrysler Building in New York City, still standing when the twin towers have disappeared. Eisenhower modeled his idea of a transcontinental highway system after the Autobahns in Germany. Sure, it took 20 years or so but what major highway has been built in the last 30-40 years? We can't get past the g'damn environmental impact study that always takes at least 10 years all by itself! These people are nuts! Our hands are tied, we can't accomplish anything, any more! Something is wrong, we are in a stupor! I mean, really, could the Golden Gate Bridge be built today? It's frightful to consider the billions of dollars and the years required. Moon landing? Forget that shit! Yes, leave it to SpaceX because our government wouldn't know where to begin!
How dd we get to this point? After conquering the whole world (in four years) of the Second World War! We actually could have owned the Globe. Well, in a lot of ways, we do control most everything, the whole world emulates Hollywood and American culture. As I've said before; the latest trend in LA is 10 hours away from Tokyo by 767. Sure they all hate us, but who do they emulate? It's not the Ruskies or the Chicoms, or the faggy French, it's America. We could own the world but don't have the collective willpower.
I've said it before, why do we sell indispensable stuff, at discount, to people that have one product? Fine, we should have said, sure if you can get that oil out of the ground without our help, we "might" buy some of it. Trade them one loaf of bread for one barrel of oil. Charge them a million dollars each for black Suburbans, or why not build them yourself, if you can? Survive on a diet of dates, grow wheat in your sandpile and good luck with that! I guess you could say we are bad at trade, there is no doubt that the Saudis would still be living in tents and herding goats, if nobody wanted their single commodity. They have a zero bargaining position, we could have froze them out a long time ago, so why are they so wealthy that they can spend $450,000,000 on a Da Vinci?
Will we still be in charge, in 50 years? Sure looks doubtful? Lacks the killer instinct. And, yet, where does every innovation originate? Somewhere in America, for sure, everybody else is just followers.
