the usual, group hugs, etc.

No, that's dedication! 10 hour drive! For me, it's like probably 7 hours. ko ko can walk it.

The ambience is casual, dress is hunter chick. Some are up and at 'em. And some wait awhile before heading out to slay a few critters. It's all freestyle, if anybody might know a couple of areas to try, ko ko?

It's not seminars and that kind of stuff, it's mostly getting to know people that you previously only knew in print.

Good hunting. El Bee

Sounds like a good time!
Shoot 10 hrs drive ain't to bad. Hell I can take off from here nd drive 10 hours and still be in Texas!
What type of hunting license would I need to purchase? Don't know the rules for as predator hunting in Arizona.
Looking forward to meeting y'all and having a great weekend.

That’s a good question! Arizona loves to stick it to non res.

The last I paid was $160 for an annual small game. If they come up a little short funding illegal welcoming committee, I’m sure non resident hunters will be the first they ask to contribute.

The way that I'm reading the Regs, you can get a one day combo hunt / fish license for $20 a day. Even three days would be cheaper than the yearly cost.
It would be prudent to call Game & Fish to confirm that and cover Hunter Safety requirements, etc.

Thank you Ko Ko for the information. I am happy to hear the price for one day hunt/fish is only 20$. I have sent a email out to Arizona fish and game inquire about non-resident hunting licenses and requirements.

OK, one thing on the license; since this is going to happen in Jan. if you do buy the yearly license, it would still be good should you decide to return in the fall.

Bring clothing; It's not unlikely to see temps of 20* to 80* …………………. the same day. Wind is optional and rain is always a possibility.

Tim Behle's not here to cook for us so bring your own vittles.

Hopefully, we can keep this whole thing simple and have a good time.

That's one of thee only benefits that non res ever got was a couple years ago they changed to an annual license. If you purchase the annual license in (say) June, it's good until the following June. Before, I'd buy a license in the fall, and it would only be good until December 31. Of course, it wasn't too long ago that the Arizona non resident small game annual license was $40. Which, for shooting coyotes, other states like Nevada and Wyoming, you don't need a license at all. Arizona has always reamed the non Resident, but the good part is the resident license is dirt cheap....wonder why?

It's a vast right wing conspiracy to attract armed red-necks to this state. We have a western boarder to defend against hippies from Calif. and the southern boarder against migrant drug smugglers.

No, I'll tell you what it is. And has always been, a distinct prejudice against foreigners, especially California residents. Arizonans think they are pretty hot shit. The truth is, they copy every little trend emanating from the Golden State, almost as quickly as Japs, where it is well known that the latest California fad is 10 hours from Tokyo via Jumbo Jet. It's almost funny to see those Nip hipsters with their Rad styles and dance moves, straight from Hollywood. Even funnier is the Arizona Cowboy version, all hat, no cattle; but they follow California styles two weeks after it's passé from Santa Monica to San Francisco. They are just discovering Hula Hoops and In N Out Hamburgers.
But, like puppies, they're cute when they are little.

(just kidding)

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: PS besides, I seem to recall, ko ko is an immigrant himself. As is Paul. But, I ain't bragging, no room to talk, until I get off my ass and buy me a double wide somewhere across the river.

HA !!!!!
When I moved to Arizona I was welcomed by damn near everyone that I met.
Contrast that with moving from Calif. to Wash. I lived up in that corner of Hell that's too wet to burn for 13 years. The locals never forgave me for being Californian with only one exception; Krusty.

Anyone who is a member is welcome to attend. ko ko will post clear and precise directions on how to get there and will be the bouncer if you start mouthing off, which has never happened knock on wood.

Anyway. it's getting close so anything you want to know or ask about, do it here so every body can benefit, meaning, don't email me or him, put it here on the Forum so everybody can appreciate your dumb questions; and as everybody knows, there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Ok just cooked supper. Chili burgers !! Beef from a friend home grown. Got to thinking. Dangerous I know.

If anyone is a days drive away please go. I'm probably three away [Frown]

I feel like I know everyone here. We could meet up anytime & feel right @ home !!

The "net" is a strange place. It can bring us all together from far & wide. Yet we mostly never meet on an individual basis.

So we all know each other right ? If given the chance we all need to meet one another when & if possible.

I'll host next year. Cold as shit in January though !! my pasture will be froze though. Shouldn't have to worry about mud ? Plenty of parking !! RV's welcome !!

Sleeping with the goats optional. They do have a nice little house. Straw layered pretty deep. Cozy !!

Dave;
Not sure what I am.
Born in Ohio.
Grew up in Mich.
Lived in Mo. for a bit.
Moved to Calif. with the folks. Stayed for 25 years & hunted most of the Western States.
13 years in Wash. When I left I stopped and ran across the freeway to piss on the 'Welcome to Wash.' sign.
Been in Arizona for ten years. I'm home now.
Note down by my sig line …... "Under a wandering star".

I would love to show up Koko but I'll be guess where?
Komyfunkinornia. I told the wife this is our last trip to the gay, stoned, left wing beaches. We made plans months ago to go over there and it is too late to cancel. The deal killer for me is the ammunition license you now have to have to possess ammunition. NO provision is made for out of state tourists. In the past I always took revolvers with a bunch of ammo carried legally. I cannot take my semiauto pistols because I only have high cap mags. My reasoning is in the event of a big natural disaster, I wanted something to stop the raping and plundering like what happened after Katrina. I have an Az CCW which means if I get pulled over by a Komyfornia cop, he will know I have a CCW when he runs my driver's license, and I'm sure he'll search the hell out of our car looking for illegal guns and ammo. Arizona doesn't put CCW information on vehicle license plates. They put it only on our drivers license.

And, I feel sorry for holier than thou arizonans because when they elect that Blonde witch to the Senate, they are next in line for a progressive reversal. I never thought it could happen, and I'm wrong. But, I have been telling you guys for years, you follow every trend from The Land of The Fruits and The Nuts. Welcome to Liberalism/Socialism.

I can't help with raffle or band but could drop off a load of fire wood if evening fires are on the agenda.
