Is getting the better of both of us.
It has put me on my back.
Thought I had sinus infection turned out it was a lung infection along with inflamed ear and a roaring sore throat.
Other half has the sinus infection. We sound awful around the house.
We're on enough meds to kill a horse I believe.
At least I'm starting to feel better.
0130 Tuesday morning I wasn't so sure about it. I haven't worked the last 2 days. It's been a nice cool wet spring but it has caused the world to bloom big time around here.

I only notice pollen when I get in the car and have to use the wipers to get that yellow powder off the windshield. Around here, seems like it's mainly pines? Otherwise, the only thing that bothers me is mold, sneezing fit. I never get the watery eyes. Just lucky, I guess?

Smoke from all the fires just about put me in the hospital last summer.
Now with this in the lungs I have a feeling it isn't going to be a nice summer.

Last year the PAC when she was dealing with me asked if I smoked? I told her only forest fires.

Never use to have allergies but the last 10-15 years it started to get worse. It only seems to be in this stupid Treasure Valley area. We get out and we seem to do a lot better.

I'm feeling better but still lack any drive. Have the get up and go until I hit the porch. LOL

If I improve tomorrow like I've done today from yesterday I'll be wonderful! LOL

Well, you're pretty much our Lifestyle Guru so it's good that you have the get up and go, at least until you hit the porch! Seriously, I hope your allergies don't become too serious. At least you live in God's Country. Look where I am!

Hope the riding lawn mower starts have a bunch of weeds to mow.

Take it or leave it, here's a suggestion. There's a winery in Mulvane, Kansas that cold presses elderberry extract into a concentrate. Not the wine or anything actually processed. Elderberry concentrate. Called Wyldewood Cellars.

Here's why... about fifteen years ago, when the cedars and elms started to pollinate, I was so bad - swollen eyes, sinuses running like a faucet, trouble breathing even - that I damn near couldn't go to work. One of my co-workers told me about elderberry, which her doctor had put her and her family on. I did some research.

Turns out that elderberry has been used by Plains Indians for centuries to treat colds, allergies and sinus infections. It contains a chemical that actually shuts off the ability of some viruses to infect the host. An Israeli study showed that it has a profound affect on influenza and works better than the flu vaccine, regardless of strain.

They began using it in horses for West Nile Virus and it worked better than what they'd been using previously. They were even running human trials to see how it worked on HIV at that time. When the H1N1 virus was a scare, my daughter couldn't take it because of an allergy, but the doctor perked up when I asked about elderberry and she told me that yes, it was a very good alternative.

The Nurse's Drug Reference book lists it as a good treatment for neonate constipation in babies which brings me to it's other use.

This stuff if stout. Bitter. Indians also used it as a laxative. It has no negative interactions with other meds that I can find, which is a good thing.

Order a bottle or look in your local health food store. Around here, it's about $25 per bottle which is about half the size of a wine bottle.

Loading dose to start with is a teaspoon every eight hours, mixed with Sprite or fruit juice to make it palatable. At some point, you will start to have a stomach ache from it, which for me is about a week in. This is the laxative effect starting. That's when I reduce to the maintenance dose of just 1 teaspoon a day, at bedtime, with my other meds.

I took this stuff for a year straight and it pretty much shut down my cedar allergy completely.

I collect a lot of plants for med use now despite being a skeptic until I found elderberry. This stuff really works and it's 100% natural.

Does it treat erectile disfunction, should I ever suffer from it?

I eat local honey on a regular basis, seems to really keep allergies at bay. I still get a bit of itchy eye when certain pollens are high, But, if ya look at that shit under a stereoscope, it's no wonder why pollen is an irritant! Bit of saline drops to,flush it out, and G2G...

Thanks for the elderberry tip! Will pass that one along...

I used to have this guy that worked for me, he had a side business bottling black cherry juice. He bought it bulk, 55 gallon from some grower up along I-5 and sold it in I think? Half pint bottles? Outrageously expensive, I am not sure, but I think it was a proven treatment for Gout or Arthritis? I used to sprinkle it on premium vanilla ice cream, quite a luxury, when you think about it, but it was free, so WTF?
