the usual, group hugs, etc.

No, that's dedication! 10 hour drive! For me, it's like probably 7 hours. ko ko can walk it.

The ambience is casual, dress is hunter chick. Some are up and at 'em. And some wait awhile before heading out to slay a few critters. It's all freestyle, if anybody might know a couple of areas to try, ko ko?

It's not seminars and that kind of stuff, it's mostly getting to know people that you previously only knew in print.

Good hunting. El Bee

Shoot 10 hrs drive ain't to bad. Hell I can take off from here nd drive 10 hours and still be in Texas!
What type of hunting license would I need to purchase? Don't know the rules for as predator hunting in Arizona.
Looking forward to meeting y'all and having a great weekend.

That’s a good question! Arizona loves to stick it to non res.

The last I paid was $160 for an annual small game. If they come up a little short funding illegal welcoming committee, I’m sure non resident hunters will be the first they ask to contribute.

The way that I'm reading the Regs, you can get a one day combo hunt / fish license for $20 a day. Even three days would be cheaper than the yearly cost.
It would be prudent to call Game & Fish to confirm that and cover Hunter Safety requirements, etc.

Thank you Ko Ko for the information. I am happy to hear the price for one day hunt/fish is only 20$. I have sent a email out to Arizona fish and game inquire about non-resident hunting licenses and requirements.

OK, one thing on the license; since this is going to happen in Jan. if you do buy the yearly license, it would still be good should you decide to return in the fall.

Bring clothing; It's not unlikely to see temps of 20* to 80* …………………. the same day. Wind is optional and rain is always a possibility.

Tim Behle's not here to cook for us so bring your own vittles.

Hopefully, we can keep this whole thing simple and have a good time.

That's one of thee only benefits that non res ever got was a couple years ago they changed to an annual license. If you purchase the annual license in (say) June, it's good until the following June. Before, I'd buy a license in the fall, and it would only be good until December 31. Of course, it wasn't too long ago that the Arizona non resident small game annual license was $40. Which, for shooting coyotes, other states like Nevada and Wyoming, you don't need a license at all. Arizona has always reamed the non Resident, but the good part is the resident license is dirt cheap....wonder why?

It's a vast right wing conspiracy to attract armed red-necks to this state. We have a western boarder to defend against hippies from Calif. and the southern boarder against migrant drug smugglers.

No, I'll tell you what it is. And has always been, a distinct prejudice against foreigners, especially California residents. Arizonans think they are pretty hot shit. The truth is, they copy every little trend emanating from the Golden State, almost as quickly as Japs, where it is well known that the latest California fad is 10 hours from Tokyo via Jumbo Jet. It's almost funny to see those Nip hipsters with their Rad styles and dance moves, straight from Hollywood. Even funnier is the Arizona Cowboy version, all hat, no cattle; but they follow California styles two weeks after it's passé from Santa Monica to San Francisco. They are just discovering Hula Hoops and In N Out Hamburgers.
But, like puppies, they're cute when they are little.

(just kidding)

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: PS besides, I seem to recall, ko ko is an immigrant himself. As is Paul. But, I ain't bragging, no room to talk, until I get off my ass and buy me a double wide somewhere across the river.

HA !!!!!
When I moved to Arizona I was welcomed by damn near everyone that I met.
Contrast that with moving from Calif. to Wash. I lived up in that corner of Hell that's too wet to burn for 13 years. The locals never forgave me for being Californian with only one exception; Krusty.
