Gonna have to get with you on a new mouth call soon.

Battery died on my CS24 last stand the other day. Always have a pair of hand calls on the same lanyard as the remote, so not that big a deal. One of them is a plastic Circe, used it, did call in a large older male. But didn't have any style to it [Big Grin] . Got me thinking it might be time to put something with a bit more flair on the lanyard.

Going to be next week before I have time to think about anything, but I'll be in touch!

Just a thought, but the guys who shoot osage orange longbows might go ape squat over having a matching call.
Might be worth an ad in Traditional Bowhunter or Primitive Archer.

I shoot trad archery, and do have guys I make stuff for along those lines.

Side note for those interested.."exotic" wood, like cocobolo and stuff like that, is getting scarce and pricey. I sort of switched up to domestic woods a few years ago because of that, but your starting to see the third world country wood prices shooting sky high. I still do a little bit with it, but probly wont do a whole lot going forward.

Lots of good wood right here in the USA anyways.

I made a walking stick for my girlfriend out of Palo Verde. She took it to a local meeting out there in Yucca Valley and received many compliments on it. They wanted to know what it was and she had forgotten but when someone suggested Palo Verde, she said; "No, that wasn't it." You could sure defend yourself from a rogue pitbull with it.

Anyway, I am a big fan of Mesquite and Palo Verde for many uses. And Ironwood, if you can find it.

Good hunting. El Bee
